IS VANTAGE ENERGY IN MORGAN OR NOBLE COUNTY?

I saw another Vantage sign in western washington county. There are many brine trucks running up and down state route 676 but I dont know where they are coming from. They must be coming from someplace in Morgan or Noble county. Does anyone know where?

I'm not sure about that Oildude but I have seen some evidence that Anadarko may be sticking around.  A utility company marked an underground line at an Anadarko accesss road they had staked last fall so it seems they may be planning on building the well road.  Maybe there is hope for Noble and Washington yet.

I dont think the new maps from the ODNR are very good. They have my land in the gas but there are existing clinton formation wells in my area that pump out OIL everyday. The ODNR said specifically that the oil and gas in a clinton well comes from the Utica point pleasent shale. Just makes me wonder how accurate those new maps are.

Do you mean in Noble County or other places in the state?  If in Noble, what makes you think so?

My guess is Anadarko has found something good in the Noble county wells they resently fraced. There are more assignements and transfers that were filed on 3/13/12 at the Washington county courthouse. You can view them on the landaccess page.

Not sure I'd get too excited about annual re-issues of lease agreements.  They would probably file those anyway just to give notice they are still holding the property.  I read in one of the agreements about having to drill a minimum number of wells.  Didn't say how many though.  Let's keep hoping.

I noticed on the ODNR web page that Anadarko revised the Olive township pad permit. They must be making plans for another pad in the area. The county road is staked to be widened out for at least a mile on down the road and the survey truck was setting there also.

 The rig is gone from the pad on county 9, and they appear to be hooking up the lines to the frac pad across the road. Have to assume they have moved the rig to one of their Muskingum county sites.

This all seems to be good signs of things to come.

This is all very interesting. It seems as though Anadarko may be carving out their piece of the utica pie. Because they are drilling consol and AEP land it would make sense that they would lease the surrounding area. It must be very expensive and difficult to move those big rigs so why not stay in one general area?

That's a good point, Oildude.  I could only guess that they are either searching for wet gas (which makes sense now that dry gas is down to $2.15/mcf) or they are taking a x-section sample of the 120,000 or so acres they have leased from AEP.  WLW said that they may have moved back north into Muskingum County which is even more confusing.  I have had a couple of people say that the well above Cumberland was a gusher and others say it's not that great.  But if it was a gusher why did they move so far to the southeast and away from that area?  Oil always sells and is selling high so why not just stay in one area and start making a profit since they have all the acreage leased and don't really have to drill on all different locations to keep the lease with AEP.  Also, think of the infrastructure that is involved with lots of moving around such as gas lines and the like.   It is puzzling and not in an encouraging way, but at least they aren't pulling out.  I haven't heard of Anadarko approaching anyone about adjacent leases either.  Hopefully there is some method to it all and turns out for the good.  I'm not quitting the day job yet though.

A gentleman sent me a picture of a rig on the Muskingum county Blue Rock pad. I'm pretty certain this is an Anadarko pad and most likely the rig from Noble county 9. There are major gas lines very close to every pad I know of that they have. Three in Noble and 2 in Muskingum.

WLW,  I agree that all the Anadarko sites are near existing gas lines, but none of which are capable of carrying wet gas.  Can they separate the wet part of the gas at the well site?  If so, then there would have to be tanker trucks carrying away the NGL's.  I haven't seen any but I have heard there may be some on the Cumberland site.  Have you seen any tankers?  Thanks.

Sorry, been out of town for a few days. I did notice last week that there were some different frac looking tanks on the Consol site when I was there. Not sure if that means anything. But I will say that the gas line still had not been hooked up. Looked to me as if they had pressure tested it, then just capped it off.
