I'm wondering when the well will be completed and when the results would be made public.

Tom,
Isn't that typical? They permit for the vertical and then have to re-permit for the horizontal legs. This is new to us so if the scenario is correct then it makes sense.

Confirmed by the Ohio DNR permit activity website

Can you explain in laymens terms what that means?

The well will not go into production until 2012 so they won't need to report on it until March of 2013.

First off, the well has had technical issues and they lost the hole. i wont go into all the details, but they are going to have to drill another lateral. As for releasing production data, the state is giving oil companies some latitude in how and when they report production. This is being done as to not giving up proprietary information so they can keep a competitve advantage since they were they early companies to come in. As for payment in four months. Dont count on it. There is no pipeline near there yet and I have heard that the pipeline wont start construction to February. So even if the well reached TD (total depth), it will be a while on that.

I saw on the ODNR web site that HG has pulled 2 more permits.  I see this as a positive!

The HG lease is very different.  If they don't drill a min. of 10 wells in 2012 they lose all their leases. I also heard that the first well they drilled has to much gas pressure to let the liquids out.  Maybe someone on here with knowledge on these wells could let us know if that sounds right.

The 7 new wells HG permitted last week are all horizontal Utica wells.

Does anyone know where I could get a copy of the map showing how the unit is laid out.  The second site is just west of my property and third is just east of my property but I'm not sure if either is going to hit me.  When I look at it on the map it appears that each unit could run right along my east and west property lines.

I was told by some one in the business that the H-G well is doing between 10 and

15 barrels of fluid an hour . Not to bad and not far off from what Des had said .

One of those was for pad site 701 and the other 6 where for 702.  They drill six wells on a single pad,

701 and 702 are two different well pads. From a single well pad, as many as 6-8 wells can be drilled.
