It looks like MarkWest is running a pipeline just sw of cadiz and they are looking for an easement thru my farm. I will get details tomorrow but my neighbor was visited and they talked about putting 5 pipelines thru this easement. Anybody else been contacted and is there any landowner groups for pipeline easements.

This is Harrison Co. No this is not the Markwest line. It's on Unionport rd. off Rt #22.

My husband and I have been contacted by MarkWest.  They want to pay $15 per foot and have us sign for 3 pipelines going thru our property.  We declined their offer.  I did however get a response to what they could do to open negotiations with us.  I did reply wth $3 per inch diameter x running feet of pipeline for something of the order of 24" high pressure line.  Ex:  $3/inch-foot x 24"x 1000' = approx. $72,000.  Although this is to open negotiations, I did ask for a Pipeline Row Agreement.  It was also going to be taken to an Oil and Gas Attorney to be reviewed.  I also let them know that this is not set in stone but only to open negotiations.  Other compensations would be added to this, such as, any storage of equipment (pipelines, heavy equipment that will be on the land) etc.  I will be waiting for their Pipeline Row Agreement and will share it with all of you.  This way we can see where we go from here as a collective group.  I am NOT signing any agreement until I know what our community stands for and what an experienced oil and gas attorney has to say.  Again I will make sure this will be available to us all.  That's if they give me a reply.  If there are any other ideas I am most definitely open to all.

Can you tell me what township you are in? Thanks

Shawnalee, thanks for your post.  Are you aware of the ROW contract on the ALOW website?  Also, have you chosen an attorney?  If so, may I ask the name of your choice.  I'm about to encounter the same situation as you and have tenatively decided to use Nathan Vaughn.

Al:

Does Nathan work for for KWGD?  We should remind people to be very cautious signing a ROW agreement/contract that allows for mulitple pipes without a time table in the future.  Who knows what the value of the dollar in 2020.  Everyone should seek the advice of a good attorney prior to signing a ROW agreement.

Yes, Nathan is affilitated with KWGD.

We are negotiating with Markwest for pipeline in Jefferson County for the ROW running to Hopedale fractionator.  Interested in updates/sharing.

Bill, I am also  negotiating with Mark West. Have you seen their proposed contract? They sent me approximately 40 pages. When I queried the landman, he said many of those pages did not apply. I'm taking him at his word and am in the process of preparing my own contract. My goal is three dollars per inch of the pipe diameter which seems to be the going rate in that area. Good luck to you!

Thanks Al,

They just keep saying "tell us what you want".

I do have a proposed agreement that we went over yesterday.  Revisions being done now. This is a big unknown for us but they have been chasing us for several months so they must be serious.  We have about 2.5 pages of addendums culled from different sources.  Willing to share that.

I need to verify the size, I've been told 12" and 20" by different landmen.  I appreciate the approach on your valuation.

Good afternoon Bill,

We are in the same boat as you are. Anything you are willing to share would be much appreciated. I previously posted agreements found on the Penn State and ALOV website, but I am sure there is more to this program.

Thank you,

Sorry Scott,

I am a Penn State fan and we cannot communicate!  LOL.

I am willing to share anything I have.  My email is horsehockey@windstream.net

My son is a sophomore there right now, trust me I $upport them!!!
