Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

HA HA HA--  yea.. that's why I print 30,000 newspapers every month --  I'm protecting the I.D of a working man.  You're just text to me at this point-- words on a screen-- he's a man with Kids and a job.  Follow?

I have just one statement to make on this thread.  Jack Young is the real deal.  I and my associates have known that to be a fact, long before the shale revolution ever started.

Hear,Hear and also I think Russia should do something about there toilets because it stinks over here.

James..............so u publish a paper with a circulation of 30,000.

Trying to get past all the bickering , which is unfortunate for a sight like this .Trying to get a clearer picture of what is happening in this area of Tioga County . Is it Utica they are after , Trenton Black river ? If it is Trenton Black river are they focused on certain pockets as the history of NY Black River , or have they been able to open the play up .

Is Shell pulling out or getting more involved ?

 Thanks in advance .

Here's a test for the Drill'n'Man, and if he can answer it accurately that will help answer your question about Shell's intentions for the area too - "what's the big news expected out of Shell on Monday"? You have 60 minutes to complete your work! Better get on the phone to those well-informed waitresses - hope they're up this early.

Yes, but that was because Shell was planning to sell all the oil they just found in Tioga County (well, actually they knew it was there for years but didn't produce it because the pressure was too high) to the EU after their after-hours dinner in Mansfield. Or did I remember that story wrong?

Oh Dear!  Something to keep us all on pins and needles until midnight Monday.  How sad if nothing at all comes out of the sewn shut mouth of Shell.  I suppose, if Jack knows about it, it must be more grim dissappointment.

Brian there fracturing the Neal pad right now they brought in the epuipment last night,Cal.frac and Haliburtin there starting sooner than we thought,if the Neal well is what they expect this is gonna be a real busy area.

Don't worry - the Drill'n'Man will tell you long before then, right?

And Ralph, if you go back a bit on this thread you can find your question about the Utica/TBR focus has already been answered.

Thanks to Chalres Randolph for the vote of confidence - it is frustrating to get this sort of treatment, but I try to stay focused on the people who genuinely want to know what to expect and so visit the forum to learn that.

Shell just announced that they will cut 30% of their staff in Unconventional Resources (shale) with the actual cuts being made public on Monday. Obviously this is really sad for the employees impacted, but Shell is cutting back and refocusing so it wasn't unexpected. Who they cut and how they reorganize their staff will give some major insights into their plans for the future.
