Well pad on rt 30 on Lisbon hill.

Hi,

I know someone a few weeks ago mentioned hilcorp was putting in a pad off RT 30 west on the hill coming out of Lisbon.
The drive is almost in and I will be finding a new way home soon :0). This is in a horrible spot.
The driller has asked counsel to access water from the creek near by. They said, when asked what the county would get from them running a pipe under the road. 3 dollars a foot was what they Said. Then went on to say as if they were doing the county a favor, they could up that a little.
The water was determined to be free for anyone to use.
I haven't gone on Black road to see if the other pad mentioned is started.
It is neat though to see how another driller, besides CHK, puts in a pad. So far I think CHK does it better. Time will tell.

Wooley is the one that they're talking about that moved from black rd to steubenville. She mentioned "the other pad" on Black rd, like there was a second one planed along that road?

It's interesting that the only permit that has actually been issued in Columbiana for Hilcorp is Salem Grubbs so far.  The pad on 30 has been started board, driveway, no fence that I can see.

Hi,

They have been going in and out of there with pipes the last week or so and moving dirt around.
They also went back to the county to see about getting the water line in from that creek right there. It was in the morning journal a little bit ago.

There is a fence up now and a modular office (or home) on site.

 This is the lay day yard for the pipeline from Depot/30 up to Salem Grubbs well ... Hickory Bend I believe.

They were not happy with the offer for the pipeline easement of $900.  It is not clear if this was temporary ... the fire hose type pipeline ... or a more permanent pipeline.  They didn't want the noise.  It's not bad and doesn't last for that long.  We can hear the pump in the creek near our house if we are outside but certainly not inside.

There was not discussion about selling of the water.  Is the creek in Lisbon Village?  I would not let them just take it.  The selling of the water is where they would make money not the pipeline easement.  Hmmmmm?

yeh i am not sure whats going on there. Its hard to see if there is a pad there from the road. There is a office out front. So i am not 100% sure what is going on there, there is nothing on the ODNR website

If you go further down 30 to where Depot hits it you will see surveying and other paraphernalia for a pipeline.  It crosses Beacon Light, County Home, 172, Saltwell, 45, 164, Miller, Lodge near Grafton and goes to the Hillcorp Salem Grubbs Well off Grafton.  We think this may be the pipeline that will eventually connect the Springfield/New Middleton to UEO Kensington and then on to Scio in same pipeline.

Pennant Midstream (they have a sign out front too) is using this front section of the property for a lay down yard aka pipe yard.  I have not seen any pipe delivered there yet but it could be in the back.  Right now I have seen only surveying, clearing of timber, marking of the road crossings ... power lines, etc with penants, gravel and timbers added to the drive ways to beef them up all the way up to Grafton.  There is just a small amount of large equipment here yet.  Next they typically start delivery of large equipment, pipe, tires used to cross roads with heavy equip, cribs, etc.  Then they will strip off all the top soil to one side and save it to put back, layout pipe along the route, drop off big bags of cribbing at each road crossing then spread it out along route, put the pipe up on cribs to weld, weld, dig out trenches for under the roads, push pipe for under road and streams is different and is welded and lays along the road waiting, push pipe under the roads and streams, dig the trench for the regular pipe, start laying it in the trench,  bury it, pressure test it, "turn it on" and reclaim the ground.  There is various work going on all along the pipeline as different crews work on ahead of each other doing each step along they way then they move on the next section.  Fascinating to watch the process move along.
