Feel like I have been left in the dark! Does any one  know anything about Aubrey and any drilling? I NEVER hear about any activity concerning his company(AEP). I first signed on with Shell, then Shell sold out to AEP and that has been that. Does anyone else, that has their lease through AEP, know ANYTHING about what is going on and when there might be some drilling starting?

The other companies are so much ahead of AEP! You are always hearing about this well and that well or company but never anything about Aubrey's AEP company doing anything. Am I the only one hooked up with AEP? I never see anyone else asking questions about AEP). ---------Fell like the lone ranger!

Thanks for any info you might have.

Thanks, Booger,

I will be looking forward to that happening! Appreciate your info!

Dear nc man,

Welcome to our world !!!!! We have been in litigation with an oil/gas company for 3 years.

Be prepared to spend big bucks and a lot of frustration if you take on the g/o industry. We have 2,count them,2 lawyers we.re paying. We feel they are very qualified and won our court case in Guernsey Co. but now the G/O guys are appealing the case, Yes you will hear alot  about AEU in the coming months, but probably not from them, unless they are actually going to drill on your land, the best way to find out anything is the locals or right here.

Thanks All !

Will think about the lawyers, 'cause it just makes sense about getting 20% from Shell, if "someone" is already getting royalties from the supposed gas/oil wells. Why would they give us a lease, a bonus and the 20%?! Still don't understand why our quit claim deed says section 21 and if I am right, the map shows 2 active wells on it.

Phil I am not sure what the map is showing, that you sent. Just the section 21? I do thank you for taking your time to look it up. Where do you find things like this? My mind can't think like yours. You are really an informed/smart man!

Keep sharing your thoughts with me, if you would like to. Don't know what to do now.

If you do end up consulting with a lawyer please let us know the out come.

Phil,

Your reply at 8:11 A.M. ,today, was deleted. Just wanted you to know in case you did not delete this yourself.

Yes I deleted it.  I answered my own question.  Comparing the 1967 plat map with the ODNR gas well map it looks like you do not have any wells on your property.  here is the link to the old plat maps:

Thanks, Phil!

It looks like you are right. In fact, I know you are right! Glad I have informative and knowledgeable friends ,like you, and the others, to guide me.(dummy me) Glad I did not involve an attorney. Took your advice and didn't panic! It all came out in the "wash"!

It was very sentimental for me to see my Mom and Dad's name on the plat. I made a copy, just for a keepsake! I only wish they could have experienced the rewards, I and my brothers hopefully will but I know they are happy for us.

Till later------

Get your hands on the original lease that K&R signed.  The answer is in there.  Until you have that you have no way of knowing what's really going on.

I'm listening, Dexter. Thanks for you input. How would I get my hands on the original lease of K & R? Maybe the recorder's office in Cambridge?

Thanks!

That'd be the easiest way.  I suppose you could call Enervest, as they operate the lease, but that would get you nowhere.

Done! I guess that wouldn't hurt to check for sure. Now we just wait for a reply from the Recorder's office, if they can do that. We will see. Keep you posted.
