Enervest Clinton Horizontal Wells in Stark County

Anyone out there know how the horizontal wells that Enervest drilled into the Clinton sandstone in Stark County (Ohio) are doing?

Thanks Joseph, This could be what brings drilling to the Northern Utica. I've read when they figure it out it will be HUGE. If they aren't successful with the Butane I'm sure they'll try something else. When they want it they'll get it.

BP is done and gone from the northern utica  in Ohio along with Shell and several other smaller operators

Maybe no longer exploring / developing (independently / themselves); but, I think they're still in it and waiting for the 'collect their money part' (from the retained interest in assets they have sold.

Only IMHO as it always is when I write here on these pages.

yes they have probably retained interest in the leases they have but their gone from the north as far as them exploring or developing same way shell is gone in nortern utica  ohio along with cheasepeake .....three big players who must have not liked the results and figured it was too costly to stick around and experiment to crack the code ..........there is a lack of point pleasant to the north that is the biggest problem and not enough pressure .....only activity I seen was some permits for the firestone property Columbiana county other then that north is dead  aint seen a permit issued in the northern utica in atleast 6months they must be waitin til hell freezes over IMHO

I think we've found a small patch of common ground.

Didnt I just say almost as much as my comment was confined to only BP.

Lots of reasons for a big business enterprise (like BP) to leave an O & G 'play' to others while retainining an interest in it's ultimate development.

Landside shale development not their cup of tea perhaps / not enough experience / shared risk and / or liability (instead of shouldering all of the risk and / or lability themselves) / going into it with that intent to begin with / etc., etc., etc.

Point Pleasant base is about 5850 feet down and 85 feet thick in my geography with the total Utica about 350 feet thick with the Point Pleasant at it's base. Many professional references that I've read on these pages indicate that as plenty to develop.

OHIO IS FULL OF GAS IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. natural gas is to cheap they want 100 a barrel oil. not 3000.00 per million cubic feet, when gas gets to 10,000 per mil then look out. liquid natural gas is sold over seas, and they are not ready to produce yet. and the lovly anti pipeliners are keeping the pipelines stoped along with obama, so no time soon will there be drilling in trumbull.

HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE OIL AND WATER MIX. I CAN NOT GET IT TO WORK, I WONDER HOW THEY ARE DOING IT? WONDER WHY THEY DO NOT USE OIL FROM WELLS?

Sounds like a good idea to me but first I would wonder if the frac. oil you would use would transport the 'propant' properly ?

Maybe they'll try that technique (or maybe they have already) ?

There are alot of things we (the public / landowners) just don't know.

Apparently Halcon and Enervest are NOT DONE with the north. Bp has much bigger fish to fry I would imagine.

From what I've read about BP they seem strongest / most experienced in deep water drilling from ocean rigs globally.

Maybe they do alot of landside stuff too that I just haven't read / know about and they're making a big splash there as well ?
