Is anyone in the group knowledgeable about current events, particularly near Overbrook Road?  What type of unitization is in process for what well?

After my stalemate/standoff w/Rex I sorta lost interest a bit in the whole gas thing. All the local pipeline activity and convoys and convoys of water trucks started to fascinate me again. Then Google Earth updated the area pic to 6/14. Take a look, the spiderweb of pipelines is clearly visible.  Anyway...

Back to Stang.

Did a little bite of riding around eyeballing trying to see and signs of activity. (rainy day, little bored, retired, got the time to putz )   Looking for those pretty very colorful survey flags.  Went by the Stang farm, could not see anything to indicate a pad. Turned around and took another look and spotted what I took to be pipeline flags. Started trying to trace them back to Ferree where I know a line had been staked out crossing 228.  No luck on the way back, but at the other end... pay dirt. Picked up enough to get a good general line.

Fired up the old computer and toggling between Recorder of Deeds and Butler Co Webmap (identifies parcels) started to piece it all together. My preliminary findings:

MarkWest has secured ROW agreements between Ferree and Stang. North of Leslie Rd the are calling it something like "Reno to Stang/Mills to Geyer tie in" 12" line. South of Leslie " Stang/Mills to Ferrree".

MarkWest from Geyer has ROWs heading out along 228 back towards Leslie Rd. I have not followed them all up yet but it would appear that is the route.

So... we got a backwards L of pipelines. Geyer-Stang-Ferree.

RB you are gonna like that setup. I see it filling in on the E/W line with pads at likely the Leslie and Park farms. On the N/S ...have a couple guesses but ain't sure yet.

I am gonna play around with this drawing it up on Google earth and I will post it if and when I get it done.

Bottom line... I believe Middlesex is gonna be a hot spot for Rex.

Sorry I rambled on for so long but..

Cheers

FMV,

I see that Google Maps updated the imagery as well.  This just happened.

Thanks for the Middlesex update!

H&H was leasing this area presumably for Range but now it seems that some of those leases are going to Rex.

Phil

I always wondered if Leslie farm was going to be a player.

looking for that pipeline FMV, I can't seem to see it.

FMV, thanks for information. Just skimming from phone. Limited to view things. Big mug of water spilled on my computer last night. Need to take for repair inspection. Ill be back

Just heard that an injunction has been filed to stop the Geyer well.  I believe it was filed by the Mars Parent Group having to do with the Middlesex Zoning change that allowed drilling in Agriculture districts.  Rex has stopped all activity at the Geyer well.  I am waiting to see the letter that Rex sent about it.

we need to get together and sue that parent group for taking rights away from us!!!

Denise and others - If you live in Middlesex Twp. please come to the Zoning Hearing meeting 11/18 at the Middlesex Twp. Firehall.  We need landowners to come, speak and stand up for their rights.  I too would really love to sue them, but I am hoping we can get them stopped through zoning.  Also, they have big money behind them hiring big lawyers from the East, Delaware Riverkeeper Network and others I believe.  Makes me angry that people from the East are influencing things here.

I agree they need to worry about their neighborhoods not ours.   I am in Adams, mostly,  here is what I think.   we need to show a united front and need to form an Adams/Middlesex landowners group.   we need to get organized, they are organized.   maybe some attorney will help us or direct us,   maybe even one of rex's attorneys.   since we have no funding it would have to be pro-bono on the attnys part.    but any of them are in danger of loosing their livelihood so they may help.   this blog is great but not everyone knows about it.    any thoughts on a group?
