The last few days I've noticed activity at both gates, but can only see the McDanel well. There have been a strange looking trailer moved in, a bobcat, and misc other things i can't get close enough to see. I suspect the same thing is happening at the CTG well. I have to wonder if they are getting ready to clear the well of frack water and back flow then maybe finally flare? They plan on doing the gathering lines later this year I think.  Dunno, but I might drive in one of them and ask questions some day.

Thanks Craig, Great Information !   Thanks for sharing.

Hey 'Scoop', what's the story on the wells? You know we have 3 wells in the area, not 2?

If you are asking me, I only  know what was/is happening at the McDanel well which is the only one I walked up to as I stated above. I'm sure the CTG well is doing the same.

I say 2 wells because both are real close to me. You could also count the Rolling Acres well and the Maga well on Achortown road. These four are all tied into the same line headed to Lime Kiln. I suspect all four are producing at least some gas if not full bore at times to see flow rates. You could also count the Roberts well in Chippewa on Orchard Lawn (i think is the name) off of Park road. Although it doesn't have a gathering line, it probably will sooner than later one would think. I don't know of any other that is as close to me as these four.

Don't know much more than that, with one exception:

Someone that is like family to me hasn't been paid for the Petrik well production since it first started producing in June/July. Seems some folks are getting pretty fed up and ready to take some legal action if this isn't taken care of soon, at least that is what I hear. I understand that information has been sent to the State Attorney General about this well.... who's office apparently has been looking to gather information from anyone who feels they have a legitimate legal problem with payment of monies in Pa.

You have the CTG well, the McDaniel well, then down a half mile or so on the left, on Old Blackhawk Rd , there were gathering lines put in place coming from a well back there in the same direction as CTG.

As for collecting monies, if iPetrik just started producing in June or July, it takes 6 months before any royalty payments are received. I would also ask if those people had received any notification from , I assume Chesapeake, about the well producing and royalty payments, which they should have also received.

Hey everyone,

Anyone have the 411 on the Liberato well?  Has it been connected to pipeline yet?

Thanks,

Todd

Todd, I'm too busy at work to do any driving around.... or I would check for you. Next time I talk to a friend that way, I'll enquire.

Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Sorry, no  well there.

The gathering line that goes across Old Blackhawk near McBride and Sherman Roads is the line carrying production from Rolling Acres and Maga and heads towards Ohio , more or less parallel to Old Blackhawk road. Then the CTG and McDanel wells join it for the rest of the journey to the production facility at Lime Kiln and Dominions 30" transmission line.

Division orders are supposed to be otw within the week, with payment at the end of the year.... of course we have all heard things like this before.

First lesson in dealing with any oil/gas company:  You don't watch what they say, only what they do.

Thanks for the info Craig. Good stuff!!!

Not surprised that they haven't been paid yet. I am in the Tharp and Burdick units, and they started producing in Sept 2012. Didn't get division orders until 3/8/13, and then got my first check 3/27/13. First check was for Sept 2012 thru Jan 2013. Seems like standard practice for CHK to me.

Joe, Not to sound like a smart A$$, but didn't you read my email, it takes 6 months to get your first check and it appears it was 6 months when you got yours. At least you're getting money!!

Yes Michael, I know you said 6 months. I was concurring with your generic statement of "it takes 6 months" with an actual example from nearby wells with the same operator to confirm with those waiting that nothing seems amiss from the normal procedure.

And yes we are getting money, but it's not even enough to pay the property taxes. So if you are waiting on royalties don't expect to quit your job. And no I am not being greedy and want the world out of this; if I only got $20 for the year that's $20 more than I would have had, and it's not like I had to do anything to get it. We have just over 10 acres so there were no surface impacts, just had to deal with a little bit of noise for a couple of months.

Another word of caution; don't expect the wells to continue to perform the way they do the first couple of months and make any big purchases with that expectation. Attached are the production numbers for the Tharp and Burdick wells, both of which are producing from the Utica. These are for a single lateral, which, as far as I know, is all that CHK has drilled at any of their Beaver County sites. In months were there is at least some production, I assumed that the wells produced every day. I don't have any way of knowing exactly how many days they actually produced. It is also obvious that for some months, such as June 2014, that they did not produce every day. Check stubs have also never accounted for anything but gas, and from the BTU's listed I have to assume that the Utica in this area is just producing dry gas.

That's certainly depressing :(
