Anything new on the lease renewals? Any uptick in activity? I'm in the Jenkins production unit in Brighton. I know it's not operational yet but I'd like to know when I may be approached for a deal.

TIm, Unless your land is needed for a unit that will be in production soon I don't see CHK spending any money leasing. I assume you are not leased? My neighbor held out forever and is not leased, they drilled under 4 acres or so of his farm in a corner.

When his unit goes to production they will have to lease his place, but  nothing yet as the gathering line isn't even started yet. It will be interesting to see what unfolds for him...... he said he'd keep my in the loop.

I'll post when I hear anything.

Thanks, Craig. I'm considering moving and want to know how to handle the mineral rights. I don't want to give them up only to see someone else make $$$$ in a few years.

I wouldn't give up my mineral rights when selling the land, unless you can include, in the sale price,  a figure that you think they are worth. It may not be as easy to sell your land without the mineral rights either. Tough situation.

On a separate note, lots of tanker trucks coming too and from the Roberts well off of park road and the site is lit up all night now.   Was this well fraced already?

They are in the process of fracing. They should have enough water there by now to start, but I've not heard it. Maybe I won't hear it though because I am up wind  . Keep your ears open, you should hear it.

A friend that lives on that street stopped in today. He said he doesn't believe he has heard the loud noises I described, yet.

Thought I would bring this back up since two and a half years has passed since I first asked...Have any of the mentioned expireing leases been extended or renewed?

Gary - a friend of mine in Greene expired over a year ago.
Not a call or sound of any activity his way. All is quiet right now.

Jason

Gary, I posted this on another site. My farm is in Hookstown, PA., Greene Township, Beaver County.  I have 1 1/2 years on my lease to CHK.  My next door neighbors farm ( his lease just ran out ) was approached by Range. They offered him $2,500.00 per acre and 17 %.  , Thanks, Nancy   ps. His former lease was with O&G.

Gary,
I was listening to some bluegrass when I read this post and found it appropriate to post :-)

OMG   Todd !!!!   You are TOOOO FUNNY !!!!!     HA HA ..... I only WISH !   HA HA

I am not sure what is going on ?  I live in Hookstown, PA, Greene Township, Beaver County.  My Neighbor to the right is going to lease with Range at $2,500.00 at 18 %.   I was so happy to hear this....I thought I was leaving CHK. behind me.    BUT.... My Neighbor to the left of me just received a check from CHK. for $24,000.00 for his 12 acres.  The farm across the road from me is signing with CHK. at $3,500.00 and 18 %.  I was under the understanding that Range was buying out CHK. ?  Maybe they are resigning their lease and then flipping to Range ?  ANY Information would be appreciated ? Our 77 acre farm is still with CHK. until August 2016.   Confused ????  Many Thanks to all for any information !     God Bless and Merry Christmas to ALL !    Nancy
