We are new at this so just a question... Has anyone heard of Shell wanting to sign up leases in Chattam twp. before the original lease is up? We have been approached by a landman and they seem anxious to sign us up.  Just want to be educated.

The name of the land man is Ryan. Don't have a last name. He contacted us before Christmas last year and have had contact with him on a regular basis.

Thank you for the information!

how long is the term of the lease they offered?

Jack have you heard any info from Senaca about there Utica wells in the DCNR Tract in Middlebury. It looks like the Normandy invasion with trucks.

That's the same well - the location is near the township line, but the pad is in Delmar Township.

North of the line, although it's not clear yet if that's going to be an issue for anyone. Until someone drills to the south we just won't know.

I have occasionally heard of this fault line - a landman mentioned this many years ago. If you drew a line from the Counties North.East corner boundry to its South.West corner would the fault be near that line especially near the center of county? I have never seen a map depicting it.

That's not the geologic structure the operators are worried about. And we need to remember that there's hardly any data on the Utica in that area available to anyone, and most of what little there is Shell has. These Range maps are 95% speculation in our part of the state. But they're still fun to look at. :)

Thanks Josie - either way it is interesting.

Apparently they wanted to run the water through an above ground temporary pipeline, but DCNR wouldn't let them. That's why there are so many trucks. Blame DCNR for the traffic.

That would explain the trucks Thank You.

Jack do you have knowledge of the conservation law and will that effect people in Utica drilling units.
