Thank you for the info.  I am very glad to hear it.  Go Rex.  Glad to see REx is still moving forward.  Meantime, down in Middlesex Twp., our leases are going to expire and our anti-fracking neighbors who moved out here for all the open land and rural atmosphere, have everything tied up with frivolous lawsuits against Rex and the Township for the next 10 or 20 years.  Say goodbye to the open spaces in Middlesex Twp.  Only thing left to do is sell to the developers.  Yes, I am bitter.

I sure hope that is not the case, Jane.  Who do you think would know and answer questions  on status and update?  Maybe township managers?

Jane, I've been following this drama in the local paper. I don't blame you for feeling bitter. The arguments to prevent drilling don't make sense to me either. How can building more housing developments be different from temporary drill pads? Why doesn't the diesel fumes from school buses running ruin the clean open air but drilling trucks do? I could go on and on with my opinion but I'll stop now. You have my deepest sympathy.

Playing devils advocate...time will only tell how many of these farms (even after marcellus shale development) are sold for development.

Robert,

Is the pond for the water to frack built? Thanks, LewPa

a big influx of water buffaloI'll drive by later today to see. I can't see any pond from my house and I haven't noticed

Hi LewPa, My previous message should have read " I DO NOT see a big influx of water buffalos". Part of my message was lost. Drove past Renick site as promised and I can't see any water pond for fracturing from the road. It may not be built yet- not sure.

Jane,

I too have been following this from the beginning since I live very close to the Geyer Pad.

Its funny that all the people that have started this fight just recently moved to the area in the past few years and they are the ones backed financially by groups from across the state but yet the local born and raised landowners are getting the shaft for wanting to develop their lands.

I just hope Rex keeps defending their right to develop their leasehold and sees this out before they decide its not worth it financially to keep going.

When's the next meeting by the way anyway....I wanted to try to go so I can see the ridiculousness in person from the people against this.

There are 2 more hearings this month and I believe they are this Monday and Tuesday 1/19 &1/20 but perhaps I am mistaken.  Originally I thought they were the end of the month, I need to check again.  They start early, around 4:00, perhaps 4:30 and go for hours.  I am supposed to testify for the landowners at one of these hearings.  Not looking forward to testifying and being vilified for it but I feel someone needs to stand up for the landowners. This fight will go on for a long time.  I don't expect to see a resolution any time soon.

DG
I called twp. End of month there are two meetings.

Hey Guys/Gals I am going to start a new thread on this Geyer thing. Keep it all together.

If you would like to repost some stuff there feel free.

Cheers

Land agent said three laterals are finished and fourth almost done. Rex is still planning to fracture them in March 2015. So far so good. Wonder where drilling rig will move to next? Fleeger pad?
