Was it even drilled?

Was it drilled?

Hi David. Thanks for the heads up. You may have seen this article by now, but I found it this morning.

"Houston-based Halcon Resources Corp. has resumed oil and gas exploration in Trumbull County, more than a year after the company declared it would suspend its program in the northern tier of the Utica shale in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, according to the latest data from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources."

http://businessjournaldaily.com/halcon-resumes-drilling-in-trumbull...  . Signs of life maybe? The Trumbull wells haven't been brilliant, but they were drilled with what now can be considered ancient methods and technology. Things change.

Then the next article. http://businessjournaldaily.com/halcon-no-plans-to-drill-in-norther...

"Larry Helm, spokesman for Halcon, said the company was reissued a permit for a site along Layer Road in Trumbull County should it decide to activate its position there."

Oh well, things do change, but not on a schedule we may enjoy.

The link contained in your reply didn't work for me Sage.

I agree that 'things do change'; but I'll add not always for the better.

Good to read your entry Sage.

Keep us informed.

Thanks for your info.
This link worked for me.
Thanks for posting David.

Thanks to Sage59 for his link.

Sage59's 2nd link doesn't work for me.

How about you ?
That one worked fine.

Thanks David.

Starting to appear to me that they just renewed their permit to maintain their leasehold or something ?

Perhaps it's obligatory and especially so if it's part of what's available / for sale ?

What's your read David ?
June 16, 2015 :

Per a linked 'Drilling Down' article ODNR advises 'Halcon Resumes Drilling In Trumbull County'.

June 17, 2015 :

Per another 'Drilling Down' linked article : 'the company responded Tuesday that it has no immediate plans to begin oil and gas exploration there.'

Also per the same June 17, 2015 'Drilling Down' article : 'Larry Helm, spokesman for Halcon, said the company was reissued a permit for a site along Layer Road in Trumbull County should it decide to activate its position there.'

Maybe it all only validates it's northern Utica sales position ?

Maybe it means they will start drilling again should they choose to ?

Maybe EVEP and / or BP will partner with them ?

Maybe it means any / all of the above ?

Don't know what - so we continue to wonder along with everyone else with interest in the 'northern Utica'.

Good luck to all of us - we think all in the northern Utica need it (especially based on events in the world / gas and oil business we're reading about these days).
