I am very cautious not to get too excited. Has been such a roller coaster ride. Found out about the parcels 3 years ago. Left to me and my relatives by our great grandfather Hampson. All my relatives buried back there, was born in Washington, Pa. grew up in little California. Parents buried in Greensburg, Claysville Greene County. Went with my son 3 years ago to meet the landowners. Hard to know who and what to believe. This map looks promising. I will never sell my minerals. Would rather have them stay in the ground than do that. Sorry to bore you, just thought I would give you a little info as its difficult finding what is going on living here in Virginia. Thanks for your help and let me know if you hear anything else. Debbie

Ms. Pennell

Currently there are 48 permitted wells, 28 producing, on 7 pads in Jackson Township, Greene county, PA.

This info is readily available via Marcellusgasdotorg.

Fee is 20 bucks per year.

PA DEP just introduced an incredible Gis map, free to use, that contains WAY more data regarding unconventional Marcellus development than anyone could possibly need.

Go to DEP PA site.

Upper right, click data and tools.

Gis map.

There is a ten minute online tutorial, viewable thru youtube, that explains how to use this mapping app.

Good luck.

... Quick glance seems to show 3 or 4 pads just a bit south of you near Bristoria Road.

... Final weigh in, ... just located junction of Tara Hill and Muddy Hollow on that DEP map.

Looks like 4 pads just a bit north of there.

Thanks for the info. Not really trained very well how to interpret these maps. What was the blue line on the map representing? The path they would take to bring the rig in? Does anyone take pictures of these rigs being brought in so I might see where it's located? Debbie

Thank you very much. I am leased with Rice since 2013. No drilling yet. I definately will join that site. Debbie

I know the value of our minerals, I just become impatient as I reached 60, looking for an early retirement, hoping I will see something before I leave this Earth. I will keep hoping ! Debbie

I do hope the same for you as well.  American energy creates American jobs, American wealth and American security.  Anyone who says otherwise is uninformed, ignorant or anti-American (perhaps all 3.)

Best wishes to you and your family.
