Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Based on the results I've seen so far, the jury is still out. Seneca owns much that the property in fee so pays no royalties, and can use the pads, pipelines, roads and other infrastructure they built for Marcellus development at very limited incremental expense. And they are still working to identify the best areas for Utica drilling. So their costs are much lower, they have NFG's premium markets for the gas, and are still improving their results.

If it was someone else drilling there with all the usual costs and royalties, I'd say that the production reported to date wouldn't be nearly enough to make any money. But Seneca does have some unique advantages so I'm not counting them out yet. They have some real and significant advantages that are hard to replicate elsewhere.

Thank you.  I was aware of their TC Utica well.  But not those in NW PA.

Anyone interested in details, here is a 2018 NFG Investor Presentation PPT

For an unknown reason, the above url didn't paste correctly and gives a 404 error.
Instead, go to:

Anyone know who customers are for Tioga County gas? It appears some SWEPI gas goes to UGI Storage and customers and Seneca gas to NFG customers. But that's speculation. What about Repsol gas?

Ran across this quote in an article about the Atlantic Sunrise pipeline, operational this past Fall.

(Frank Ferazzi, senior vice president of Williams’ Atlantic-Gulf Operating Area ...)

"Ferazzi held up Atlantic Sunrise as an example of Williams’ commitment to collaborate with stakeholders and overcome challenges. Throughout the permitting and construction process, Williams worked closely with permitting agencies to minimize impacts, providing an additional $2.5 million for environmental conservation projects located within the project area.

More than half of the original greenfield construction route was changed in response to landowner or environmental concerns. The area recorded record rainfall during the period when crews were working to restore rights-of-way.

“It’s difficult to build 180 miles of greenfield pipeline, particularly in some of the areas where we had to work,” Ferazzi said.

“We built this project without being halted for permitting or environmental issues, and I’m proud of our team for proving that we can responsibly build greenfield pipeline in Pennsylvania and any other state for that matter.

“And I think the real story is here that we’ve proven that you can get a large-scale greenfield project built without being stopped if you do it the right way,” Ferazzi said. ..."

Which article?

Thank you.  Same thing happened when I tried it.  I'm guessing there is a character in the url that GMS choked on.

In a reply to my original post there is another way to access a different copy of the file.  There is info about the Utica wells approx page 20 and, following that, some info about Tioga County.

Yes, that's what one gets when clicking 2019 instead of 2018.  Any comment on the content of either the 2018 or 2019 version?  If you are Josie and iirc, you once proposed something akin to what Seneca refers to as redevelopment ... both a Marcellus and a Utica well on the same pad.

Sharretts pad in clymer township already has utica n Marcellus well on it

Is Sharretts moving any gas to market yet?  I do not recall reading or seeing any pipelines in that area. I do recall lots of comments of how great it was when it first came in.

Granddad Ladd

Those wells have been in production all along - no pipeline problem there.
