Does anyone know anything about Oil/Gas Co. wanting to buy water from Landowners? A Well supposedly needs 3-5 million gallons of water, where do they get the water from? Our property has a Creek and Springs on it with plenty of water flowing for nine months out of the year. RUMOR has it, they are paying anywhere from $.50 to a $1.00 a gallon.

I like that idea....My company produces 5000 gallons of waste water per day and we pay to get rid of it....we are in Columbus, ohio, and can deliver it easily.

wow thats a good rumor.i read somewhere its more like a penny a gallon! not to burst your bubble tho !!

If it were $1 gallon I guess my $2100 to build a pond was a real good investment.

Ray, thats why I'm asking! It does Sound Way To Good To Be True! I am only trying to learn. Thanks, penny does sound more logical!

There are a few places selling water in Pa and the going rate is $2 to $6 per 1000 gallons, depending on quality.

The two numbers I have heard are $0.15 and $0.17 per gallon. Also Jefferson County Ohio commissioners on Thursday  made a deal with Chesepeake, $7.50 per 1,000 gallons of water.

if you get .05 to .08 a gallon i think you will be doing  good.

at that price my bass are safe!

.05 = $262.50 a truck load, i would sell mine for that all day long

you should feel lucky, the state says they own the water here in pa and you cant sell it at all .

rat think again if the greenies could put a deposit tax on it  of 5 cents per liter as they try on everything else you'd be in  well the rat hole!lol
