Monroe and Belmont.   And so far Monroe has the most permits, drilled, and producing Marcellus wells.

and yet I had someone offer me only 11700 to BUY   all the mineral rights for land in Monroe county...................the man said I would never get more than that because of the area I was in

11700 per acre that is

What about Carroll and Jefferson??? Any possibility there??

Carroll has no chance for Marcellus, but Jefferson does.

Thanks, that is good to know but can't understand why they would drill the Utica first. Don't they have to drill through the Marcellus to get to it?

Separate vertical hole ... separate well altogether.  Can be off same pad but not same well.  Yes they drill through Marcellus and geologist can look at samples and see if there is anything interesting.

Bucey Well in Carroll County they drilled one Marcellus well and it is producing.  It must not have been profitable to drill the other Marcellus wells on that pad.  They did drill several Utica Wells.  As mentioned on here already Belmont and Monroe they seem to be double dipping.
