 9 AM to 4 PM EST\n Williamsport, PA\nOn September 10, 2013 the US EPA 
 Science Advisory Board published the draft, “Connectivity of Streams
  and Wetlands to Downstream Waters: A Review and Synthesis of the Scie
 ntific Evidence.” This report is still a draft, and EPA specially di
 scloses that this is not the official policy. However, it does present
  a fairly accurate view of the culture and tone of the future Waters o
 f the US (WoUS) policy.\n \n This workshop will discuss the current st
 atus of the determination of a WoUS and how that may change as a resul
 t of this new report. We will break down the report in to the key sect
 ions including:\n\n Effects of Streams and Wetlands on Downstream Wate
 rs: A Conceptual Framework\n Streams: Physical, Chemical, and Biologic
 al Connections to Rivers\n Wetlands: Physical, Chemical, and Biologica
 l Connections to Rivers\n\n Finally we will discuss how this new “po
 licy” may affect how we determine if a stream or wetland is under Fe
 deral Jurisdiction under either the Clean Water Act or the Rivers and 
 harbors Act or both.\nWe will also discuss some of the new terms inclu
 ding:\n\n Unidirectional Wetlands\n Bidirectional Wetlands\n Geographi
 cally Isolated Wetlands\n Biogeochemical Interactions\n Hyporheic Zone
 s\n Alluvial Aquifers\n and a lot more!\n\nThis workshop is a blend of
  some slightly technical topics as well as a lot of common sense appro
 aches to manage these new jurisdictional interpretations.\nJoin us on
