 cience Advisory Board published the draft, “Connectivity of Streams 
 and Wetlands to Downstream Waters: A Review and Synthesis of the Scien
 tific Evidence.”  This report is still a draft, and EPA specially di
 scloses that this is not the official policy. However, it does present
  a fairly accurate view of the culture and tone of the future Waters o
 f the US (WoUS) policy.\n \n  This workshop will discuss the current s
 tatus of the determination of a WoUS and how that may change as a resu
 lt of this new report. We will break down the report in to the key sec
 tions including:\n\n Effects of Streams and Wetlands on Downstream Wat
 ers: A Conceptual Framework\n Streams: Physical, Chemical, and Biologi
 cal Connections to Rivers\n Wetlands: Physical, Chemical, and Biologic
 al Connections to Rivers\n\n Finally we will discuss how this new “p
 olicy” may affect how we determine if a stream or wetland is under F
 ederal Jurisdiction under either the Clean Water Act or the Rivers and
  harbors Act or both.\nWe will also discuss some of the new terms incl
 uding:\n\n Unidirectional Wetlands\n Bidirectional Wetlands\n Geograph
 ically Isolated Wetlands\n Biogeochemical Interactions\n Hyporheic Zon
 es\n Alluvial Aquifers\n and a lot more!\n\nThis workshop is a blend o
 f some slightly technical topics as well as a lot of common sense appr
 oaches to manage these new jurisdictional interpretations.\nJoin us on
