Just was curious to hear of any activity going on in Venango county.  Anything from talks of leasing, to actually signing on the line of a lease.

What have the offers been for potential leases?  Any good addendums you were able to negotiate?

Has anyone heard how the completion went for the Seneca Resources well?

Hopefully 2012 will hold a lot more activity for this industry founding area.

Hi George, Could you give me the email address of Shell in Butler. We have 100 acres of OGM's in on hwy 157 and Sawtown Rd, Pinegrove Township.

Thanks, Terry

I worked with a Shell landman named Jason Hannath.  I understand he has moved on to another area but perhaps he can connect you with the right person.

Also in the Venus area rt. 157

Matt/Brian, if you have a GPS, could you post the Lat/Long coordinates whenever you find these?  That would be a cool thing to plot out on a map.  Thanks!

George,

I could probably provide the coordinates to a few of the sensors, but they are literally spaced every 100 feet (approx) for a number of miles, over 11 miles, that i saw the sensors on yesterday.  You could see on a map if you wanted to follow the roads that they are placed on.

Saw the seismis crew working in the Venus area today, Is this 3D testing? Area was thumped with cables in August.

I believe that this is going to be just 2D.  I am under them impression that when 3D is conducted, the shotpoints and geophones are laid out in a grid work pattern.  2D is conducted when it is just a simple line of testing done.  This essentially will show a 2D cross-section of the strata underlying the route of the test.

Trucks at a staging area...probably begin the operation tomorrow

Thanks George, I also like the idea that the larger unit will give a more uniform and longer royalty pay period, but it scrares me that shell can hold by production all this acreage with just one well.

The larger units will also make it possible to drill wells with longer laterals.
