Describes me fairly well, but I lean more towards geology than geophysics and unfortunately biking is less of an option than it used to be.
I would argue that a lot of geo's these days would identify with this article. Any hired in the last 5-10 years have a master's degree at least (many with PhDs, including myself) and are fairly young, spent a lot of time in and around colleges, and tend to be "outdoorsy".
