We have acreage in Center twp and have received several letters to purchase mineral rights. We have noticed almost all of these letters are  from Texas or Oklahoma  companies wanting to purchase our mineral rights. We did receive one letter from a local company, Money For Minerals announcing they are opening an office in Woodsfield. We also received a call from them. There were no high pressure tactics by the Landman we spoke to and he was willing to buy a 50% interest in our minerals instead of the usual all of it. Plus we keep our present royalty, $25.00 per month and the free gas.  Being we are trapped under Beck Energy like many others, and the other interest owners are in agreement,  think we may consider the offer and hedge our bet a little since the lack of any drilling activity near us and the Beck litigation thing. Plus they gave us a fair offer and 30 day closing on the contract. Hope they live up to their word. Gave us references to call and they all seemed to be legitimate and happy with the way things went for them

How much did they offer you?

Are you saying this is local because it has an office in Woodsfield or is it actually owned by someone in the area?  The people you called were they Monroe County residents?

Strange that if you are trapped under Beck Energy lease that they would want your minerals, must mean people are betting Beck Energy is going to loose.

Money for Minerals has a billboard on State Route 7, personally I thought it was a bit odd, just my opinion.

Beck Energy will lose, my opinion.

I think money for minerals and pleasant view management are both owned by Robert merashoff

Perhaps doing some reading at the following link will help you and yours to make an informed decision regarding the sale of your minerals.

Searchone, Thank you for the info. I have seen much worse as far as companies not paying people or giving them a hard time on releasing leases. I think ILG and companies like  DUX petroleum and a few others have done much worse to the landowners. And from what I understand yes, the person I spoke with was a Monroe County resident and I was told they are planning on hiring more people from Monroe County. As long as they play straight with us I don't have any problems, if they fail to pay don't worry you will hear about our experience good or bad.

Ms. Jane Dough, I hope you clicked on some links in the article and saw their track record

in Guernsey Co.  Sounded as if there were dissatisfied customers there.

Money for Minerals is based out of Pittsburg area.
