David; I am afraid that talking points aren't gonna cut it. These people don't care about talking points, scientific facts, historical results or anything else that doesn't fit their agenda.
What you need to do in NY is start a movement to succeed from the state and start a new one. Only such a drastic move will start a discussion that has any hope of succes.
Jim,
Right on point as usual.
Of course it isn't about facts; it's about politics. NY is run by liberal Democrats (there are conservative Democrats). They are supported with contributions from the environmental left. The environmental left is vehemently against shale development.
It will take an all out effort by people such as David to counteract this liberal wave.
The reason the liberal left is so successful is that they are so committed and are able to motivate others. The pro-drilling forces need to follow the game plan of the liberals.
Don't waste your time on NY! It is over! Just hope it doesn't occur here!

Never say never, who is your governor????
The environmental Left is vehemently against American exceptionalism and a successful American economy. They are funded by the likes of Russia, OPEC, Venezuela - all of those fine, freedom-loving countries.
So it does,
...and in that spirit:

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
