your right it is not any of your business but I know everyone is anxious to get an idea what to expect when their turn comes. So I will say it is very substantial...over 50,000 and I only have 1/5 th ownership of this well...and it is a retroactive royalty payment for maybe 6-8 months. Can't be sure until I get the statement. So I am anxious to see what my next regular monthly royalty check will be...and because of the unusual circumstances of this negotiation, I only have royalty rights and not executor rights...at this moment I have no idea what royalty percent was negotiated ...I am assuming only the minimum 12.5 % but maybe my relatives negotiated something better. However, I am not complaining. It was unexpected. I also assume the relatives got the bonus payment...but they have to pay the taxes on that and I don't. I think the tax rate on royalties is approx. 15%...I am sure my accountant will correct me on that when I talk with him next week.
