Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

That is supposed to say $835.00 per well per month.

Even per week, that wouldn't payl the cost (salary + benefits) of one full-time district employee.  And if it's not land the district intends to use for classrooms, playing fields, and/or buffer space, why not sell and get more money for it?

There is 30 acres two wells that is 1670.00 a month. The school system didn't sign because of uncertainty on the deductions.

Got that (835x2=1670).  What will that have declined to in another year?  Now if they sold the land for development, it would go on the district RE tax roll.  Taxes are forever and seldom decline.

I don't know if SW. has drilled any Utica wells the two that are drilled are Marcellus wells. It could end up being a stacked play?

Rumor has it that a couple of permits  have hit a snag concerning the Painter well site. Permits were approved but the problem is, where does the money go? I presume which account is entitled to receive it?

We observed a triaxle logging truck moving out from the site with a full load of logs two days ago.

No other activity as far as I know for a couple of days now

Josie,
You may already know about this, but I just found that Shell has redone their Appalachia (and other) U.S. web pages.  One change is that they are now specifying three polymerization units in addition to the ethane cracker.

Yes, I'd posted about the write-downs on Tuesday.  That's got to smart to have to publicly admit to having made the bad choices.
