EQT is one of the many drilling companies operating in the Marcellus Shale.

I visited a EQT drill site this weekend. The ground has been leveled, and I understand that a water line is being constructed to provide the water needed. The site itself is quite impressive.

Search Google Earth (or maps.google.com) for "Knight town rd, shippenville, pa" to see where it's at.

I imagine if that well produces a good amount, then leasing activity will also be boosted.

Atlas came through the area a few years ago, but I haven't heard of any other leasing activity since the price of oil collapsed.
