chk can save their gas money and time. nothing less then the wyg lease will be accepted. people, do not settle for anything less in land protections. if chk uses that lease for 37,000 ac then there should be no problem for the add on acreage...don't let them snow you!

I spoke to a landman from redsky representing cpk on 10/30. He said he will be working to sign leases for the northeast corner of wyo co starting 11/3. Dont have any details as yet on prices. Will let you know that and how this lease compares to thr wyo co landowners lease

I will be sure to post anything I know. I would also encourage people to be sure the lease content is the same. the more anxious and desperate people become the more chk may pull a fast one. keep in mind that if chk doesn't want our land with a good lease then they can buy it from whatever company picks us up and they will need much of the add on land to complete their units.....it is a poker game people. do not look desperate!

Thank you for your response...I think if any of our 35 members in this Wyo Cty discussion group recieves anything substantial from Chesapeake, in the form of lease by mail, I think the rest of the membership would appreciate that info being place on this comment wall.

Bill Wilson (leader of wyoming group) says chk still wants the add ons. be patient. any company will hold onto their money until they have to hand it over. so just wait until dec 31st or somewhere close to that.

still no word from Chesapeake other than "we'll get back to you"....Anyone else getting any action in Wyo County?

and which g&o company makes you feel warm and cozy? I think they all do business pretty much the same way. we have to protect ourselves with good leases and not wait for a honorable g&o company to come along. Isn't Hess cherry picking from the nwpoa group over the next 96 months with the way their lease is written up?

If you look closely at Chk as a company -- their past tricks, lies, and total disregard for landowners, you might not get a warm and fuzzy feeling about them. Read a few of their quarterly statements and take a look at their past exploits. Tends to make a person sick to their stomach.
Their true colors will show by the end of this year, when we see if they actually pay on the signed leases or if they do what has been done before and cherry pick the land they really want while letting the others go.
Comment by Jack on October 22, 2009 at 8:20pm
why wouldn't you just go with chk?
