Our gas lease will expire in September 2018. We have acreage that is partially pooled (no production) and some shut-in. Should we expect to hear from the gas company prior to the end of the lease? Also wondering if anyone is aware of any current lease offerings. We're located in Delmar Township. Thanks in advance for any responses.

They plan to move to Houck near the Grand Canyon airport and then maybe Showalter or Watkins in Chatham Township. They said they will stop drilling at the end of June because they will have used all their development budget by then. They will then resume drilling the first of 2019. All drilling will be on existing pads. Of course everything changes daily in this business.
Anybody home?tag:gomarcellusshale.com,2017-06-23:2274639:Topic:7579292017-06-23T02:48:22.256ZBrian Dayhttps://gomarcellusshale.com/profile/BrianDay

I was looking at a couple of drilling sites. Both are at least 4-5 years old. One was unitized and the other not - again, years ago. Both had roads made and have pads but never had wells drilled. In the past month both have new permits submitted to DEP and are pending. These are E&S Stormwater General permits. Can anyone explain why a company would do that? Would that mean they are anticipating doing more work at the sites - either to clean it up before exiting or to move toward…

I can't remember what those type of permits are for specifically and what if anything it might signify.
New Welltag:gomarcellusshale.com,2016-03-07:2274639:Topic:7216192016-03-07T19:11:00.231ZBrian Dayhttps://gomarcellusshale.com/profile/BrianDay

Shell has completed drilling a new well last week in Shippen Township.

RE: Houck 433-2H

It is believed they drilled down to the Utica formation below the Marcellus formation they drilled at 433-1H.

Does anyone have any indication on how successful they were?

Like the title says, needing some insight please. My brothers and I just received check from Shell. Listed under type of payment it's telling us: PUGH OPTION (APPALACHIA) for Well unit Allen 620. Here is where we are confused, we never received a formal declaration from Shell stating our land was contained within this unit. Should we contact Shell asking about this unit and our land.
Our current lease is about to expire for a different unit, and we are wondering if we should be receiving a offer to extend the current lease? Living in North Carolina, these forums are my only real source of info for whats actually happening in this part of PA.

Anyone have contact info for someone to speak with at Shell?

Any info provided would be greatly appreciated...
Average price paid for pad site on your property ?tag:gomarcellusshale.com,2015-08-26:2274639:Topic:6944622015-08-26T19:22:51.473ZBrian Dayhttps://gomarcellusshale.com/profile/BrianDay

If you have a pad on your property - What is average price paid ? I have heard last year one family in NE Tioga got 30K and another 15K. Cut those in half for taxes. Is it really worth price paid ? Also how many well heads on the pad ? Thanks in adv

SWEPI is proposing a well pad on property. Alot to think about and will be reviewing with lawyer. But I would like to hear from the Tioga members. If you have a well pad already, how badly do your taxes go up for that 3-5 acres ? If you were in Clean and Grean, they will remove the pads 3-5 acres and the back taxes for 7 yrs get paid back to county, Hopefully you put that in a addendum to have the company you signed with re-pay the back taxes on Clean and Green.

Also hear, not sure this is true, take averything with grain a salt and becareful to learn as much as we can. But, I hear if you have a well pad on your property that if the well is producing, there is a federal tax that you the owner must pay on the estimated gas for the year from that well. The others in the unit do not pay, they just suck up the royalties.

The offer seems low for the price of the pad they are offering, after taxes, you end of with almost enough to buy a dinner. So were they negotiable for the pad ?

So if you can help with some threads of advice, concerns- would be appreciated. Thanks !!!

Also the maps they show for the pad, seems to be different with neighbors are shown, Pad Creep, keeps getting bigger. AAARRRGGGHHH !!!
Need to have a little information concerning pipelinestag:gomarcellusshale.com,2015-08-25:2274639:Topic:6945502015-08-25T18:12:01.474ZBrian Dayhttps://gomarcellusshale.com/profile/BrianDay

A few minutes ago a young man stopped by to ask about running pipeline across my property. It was just a preliminary questioning about how or where the drilling company will put a gathering line between wells and then to a larger line to wheverever. The route has not yet been decided upon but it seems it will probably be across my land westward to another gas well. I estimate the distance across my property to be perhaps 2000 feet. About 15 acres of open land now being used for cutting hay from and the rest being old pasture now grown up to brush. A creek crossing and then across another area of open land. Then up a rather steep bank to a wooded area with sizeable trees. The woods are probably about 600 or so feet to the line fence.

My question is what is a good price to ask for the pipeline crossing? And what can I expect concerning the logs and treetops. I burn firewood

Looking at a map the young man brought for me to look at, the route between wells is nearly straight. There could only be a small detour around a house and a new sewer system just installed.

Any ideas or information will be appreciated
