Kenyon is in the area working for Chesapeake.  Best offer I have heard of is 1250/acre and 15%

Has anyone signed a lease that got paid in Hancock Co. WV?

I'd like to lease my acreage, but haven't had anyone to call or

contact.  If you have signed a lease and got paid, I'd like to contact

those folks and lease my acreage.

Thanks for the info, Terry. I've seen offers ranging from 250 - 1000 in the area. I believe that the bidding war between CHK and AB Resources a couple counties to the south is starting to drive prices higher up north. Obviously, things change daily, but a friendly lease can be negotiated at 1000 plus right now in the area. I would make sure that your attorney knows who is in the area, the current bonus / royalty out there, and the riders that you can get automatically on your lease without deducting from your sign on bonus.

Hi Nicholas,
I received a contract that I did not sign. The contract started out at $20/acre/year/5 years. Then it went to $50 and then to $250.
Right now the contract is with my attorney and I will call today to see if anything happened.
