People on 8oo and Moravian Trail have been contacted for water testing.  The well is suppossed to go in on 899 between Deersveille ave and Moravian Trail.  Near where Kimble is ming coal.  Anyone know how far horizontally they will go?

  • maria armes

    Sorry 800 I meant Rt 800.

  • Brent Laner

On the Consol signs on CR 46 they list a large number of wells (1-8), but I don't see any more permits?

  • TM

Saw some Gribi well production numbers. It is producing 227 barrels of oil a day and 1.3 million cubic feet of gas a day. Seems decent but not a gusher for sure.

  • rob

Certainly Mr. Gribi isn't complaining...maybe bought a new implement with his new found wealth.  Doubt we will see more than one leg from this well though, so it will be interesting to see what kind of results are seen from the two wells on New Cumberland Road SOUTH of 212.

  • Gary E. Harrington

Wondering if anyone has any information on New Philadelphia/Dover area in regards to any new leasing or proposed well sites????? I would appreciate any updates. Thank-you in advance, Gary

  • JR

Gary, Consol (CNX) is pretty active in the stone creek area with two wells in progress and one drilled. Chesapeake has the gribi well and several others around the county and Sierra has one coming too. I think that's the one by Kent's campus(?). Wouldn't count on Chesapeake leasing much these days but you never know.

Does anyone know anything about the Gribbi well.  The well on it is never pumping that we ever see. ???  What about the site that has been leveled and prepared on the Mizer farm at the intersection of 212 and New Cumberland road?

  • TM

Sharon the Grbi well has been in production since May 8 2012. There has been a permit issued for the Mizer well on May 22 2012 by Chesapeake. I dont know if they are drilling or not yet at the Mizer site. If you scroll down some on this comment wall I posted some Gribi well production numbers on August 12.

  • sharon beamish

Rob why is the Mizer well on hold?

  • Craig Hughes

Does anyone know if Endeaver Ohio llc. is leasing in oxford twn?

  • Chris Irwin

I received a certified letter from Chesapeake asking for my consent for my lease to be assigned to CGAS,  L.P.  Has anyone else received this.

  • Paul Martinelli

Chris.....I have heard of others on the South Side of NP  getting the same letter,

  • JR

So now I wonder, is CHK pulling out of TUSC? That's 3 areas at least...I know the area is vastly HBP but they've poked a few holes and haven't been shouting those results from the rooftops.

Possible Utica Processing Plants in Tuscarawas County?

found out that Kinder Morgan is part of El Paso that earlier was interested in building a plant outside of Uhrichsville

  • Buz

    They going to build it.
  • Brent Laner

Any more info on the new plants and/or pipelines?

  • Tusc Follower

Found this presentation on Kinder's site regarding the Tuscarawas processing plant.  The file name suggest it was created late Jan. of this year.  Slide 43 is the important one.

  • JR

The presentation Tusc Follower posted makes me wonder if that's why things are slow in Tusc Co...awaiting infrastructure?
  • TM

Says in service date for July 2014 for the plant. Looks like this might happen now.

  • Brent Laner

If you get a chance go to their website. http://www.kindermorgan.com/ Some good info about the company and their operating principles.

Tuscarawas County well may be Ohio Utica Oil Key

    http://www.ohio.com/blogs/drilling/ohio-utica-shale-1.291290/tuscar...

  • JR

That's interesting TM! Is it Beachy? Are there any others?
  • TM

I believe it is the Beachy well from what I read.

  • Paul Martinelli

Is Tusc county the Tantalus  of the UTICA?

Is the oil so close to us, but yet so far out of reach?

So....it will take new technology to unlock the oil here.....meaning 2 more years? perhaps longer?

Marcus.....I believe Sierra Buckeye is still leasing in Eastern Tusc.

  • Chris

Marcus, What township?, acreage? Im sure Sierra would look at it if it is contiguous with their existing acreage.

Is anybody aware of any activity or plans for the area about 5 miles south of New Comerstown off of Route 21?

  • Kneffler

There was a CHK Truck in the Valley this morning (Hummel Valley Road SW)...:)

  • JR

TM, note not one comment about TUSC in either article you posted. Hmmm.
  • Jim Krocker

I noticed that.  Even though they discounted some counties we were not mentioned either negatively or positively.

  • TM

I noticed that as well. The pressure issues seem to be a problem in Tusc and low gas to oil ratios. Consol seems to say one thing and then turn around and do the opposite the next week. Seems these companies want the condensate now. First they all wanted oil, then wet gas, and now they want condensate. Guess when Beachy results come in we will see the future.

I think that when they drill the Mollett well we will find out a lot about eastern T-County

  • TM

I will be surprised if Consol drills the mollett well until next year. They are in production mode drilling in Noble county. Add to that they are only running 1 drilling rig right now.

Meanwhile, Chevron is building a well pad to drill along U.S. Route 250 at Station 15, about 6 miles west of Uhrichsville.
Company officials recently met with Uhrichsville Mayor Terry Culbertson to discuss the project. They also met with representatives of the village of Dennison.
“They met with us so they can get on board with the fire and police department in case there’s something they need,” he said.
Culbertson said he was told that Chevron will drill six wells on the pad. The project could result in 25 to 30 jobs.
He was given no date as to when drilling would begin or end.

Isn't the pan for drilling six wells on every pad?" I mean, I have always heard that each unit, each pad is designed to have 6 wells drilled all within a few feet from one another at the center of each pad and from there they go down then out horizontally into their respective directions. The only reason they would not drill 6 wells on one pad is if they discovered early on none of the wells were worth it. Having all six wells drilled from the one pad in the center of the unit consolidates their expenses. To hold a lease though, they can get away with drilling just one vertical (shallow) well every five years (or within the term of the lease agreements) to keep the leases in effect and thus avid renewal bonuses.

Was out in the back country yesterday.....End of Blizzard Ridge (Near Clark Farm) and further out...There are blue gas lines going in everywhere.  The pipeliners business is booming.  All connecting to the pipelines heading towards 250, across 800 and Moravian Trail.

WITH OXFORD OIL GETTING BOUGHT OUT ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE IF THAT WILL HELP US IN T-COUNTY.  THERE IS HBP PROPERTIES ALL AROUND US IN WARWICK TWP. OWNED BY OXFORD.  ONE OF THEIR WELLS IS ON THE HILL BEHIND ME.  IN FACT I PURCHASE FIELD GAS FROM THEM TO HEAT MY HOME.

  • Chris

I would think that Eclipse would  want to assign any leasehold that they can't drill, it wouldn't make sense for them to just sit on idle acreage for what they paid. But who knows, time will tell.
