What is the most that has been offered per acre for a gas lease in Bradford? I am trying to confirm what I would consider at this time a rumor. (No easy task!)
We were offered $5,500 from Fortune and $5,750 from Chesapeake last month, but then they withdrew the offers. We have 200 acres in Franklindale and would like to get at lease soon. Any ideas?
Any idea of when a map of the Bradford County sites might be available for viewing? The proposed sites, gas line routes active wells would all be most helpful.
Thanks,
Dan
As far as I understand Chesapeake and Fortuna had just signed a lot of leases the week before. I think they tried to see if they could get people to sign for less. Chesapeake dropped the offer from $5,750 to $3,000. That was unacceptable to us. We haven't heard any word since. We are interested in signing a lease right now, but it needs to be a good offer.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE THE ALBERTSON PLACE IS IN BRADFORD COUNTY? WE ARE IN A UNIT WITH THEM AND CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY ARE(NEAR ATHENS) THANKS FOR ANY INFO!
If you look at the "Bradford County, PA" child board, there is a very nice Google Earth map that is updated periodically. We are all thankful to member Wayne Miller for the work he puts into this endeavor. For the Sept 25 update: click here. unless otherwise agreed upon, in all of those cases the owner of the minerals receives the royalties.
the game commission owns some of the minerals under their land, but not all of them.
schools will usually get theirs' unless there was a prior reservation when they acquired the property.
it varies by operator. chk normally has personnel on the pad 24 hrs a day during the first several days at least. they stay in travel trailers usually.
one sure way is to either listen to, or observe the dehydrators. all wells have them at least initially to seperate produced water. if you're close, you can hear them operating, if you cannot get close, look for the heatwaves coming out of the stacks. the stacks look like a short stovepipe.
if the dehy units are cooking, the wells are in production. there is usually one dehyunit per well.
