Introduce Yourself

I was an in-house landman at Chesapeake Energy in both the Charleston, WV office as well as the main campus in OKC, OK. I managed prospect areas for them (approving leases, managing brokers or field landmen, working with other companies to drill wells, etc.) and drilled many wells. I got tired of landowners being very ill-informed about what they were getting into when signing a lease, so I resigned, set up my own LLC (Shale Play Consulting), and now I'm consulting with landowners and other industry professionals to help educate and put more leverage on the side of the landowner.
