I have 54 acres in W. Farmington,Trumbull. Didn't sign with initial ALOV. BP presently not interested in my area but may be later,(not in buy zone"). I know i'm late to the game but want to know what other groups or drillers may presently accepting leases.
I'm sorry, I don't even know if you got my first email, I hit enter earlier than I meant to (if you didn't just let me know). Regarding this Ohio Sale Advocates landowners..I got the gest that their focusing only in W. Farmington, Bristol,Brookfield areas? For what I took away from it..I sign w/them, they get 4% of total sign on bonus from me, If they barter w/oil company & I don't like it and all landowners approve, I have right to back out w/no cost to me and a free title search on my property. As I said in my first email, they are having another informational/sign up meeting 6/11/12 in Brookfield somewhere (they promised to mail me info on meeting) and I do know that we have until 6/23/12 to sign on. Also, for your info, they have retained the services of law firm Scullin & Cunning, LLC for lawyers. Hope this helps, I missed the first boat and after Chesapeake in the dumps and Bp w/no interest, I believe I'll jump aboard this one. When I get more info on where 6/11 meeting is, I'll throw it your way. Can I ask why you didn't join ALOV? Did you have reservations about something or like me and didn't know?
Martin, Thank you for the info....I quickly looked these up, I do think I would rather deal with a group of landowners on this rather than go one on one w/the oil & gas landmen. I do feel the most is to be gained when there is more land involved to barter with. I figure the people heading this land owners assoc. is going to do their best to get the most $$ for leases so they get the most out of their 4% take. It'll be our job as the landowners to assure the lease they are presenting us with is protecting us and our land. It will be interesting to see how much acreage they were able to sign up when this is all completed 6/23. Everyone keeps saying, W. Farmington, Bristol, etc is in the "sweet area" (even had a couple at that meeting tell me that Saturday), wish that was true but if so, why is BP not interested. Hope we get a little more per acre than the last landowner group, that would be nice. Good Luck, maybe we'll see you at 6/11 meeting in Brookfield.
