Am leased with Gulport (Freeport Twp., Harrison County).
Currently our land is being surveyed for a 20" pipeline that is to go to the Cadiz Plant.
IF negotiations go thru for $.
Any wod on rate per ft.? $15.00 a ft. for the pipeline. Anyone able to tell what shoudl the $ per ft. (not linear) for damages? Our neighbors are trying to hold together and all be treated equally. Thanks for any info.
Between you and I how much are you asking Markwest to pay for the first line total and each additional line. I am a landowner at 79590 Croskey Road, Cadiz....I live in Stow, Ohio, but we acuired land in Harrison 15 years ago.......MarkWest is asking permession to run two 36 inch lines across 3000 feet of our property. Some of this line is in our nicest woods that has not been touched in 30 years. I am not tree hugger...but I dont like the fact that they want to clear a 100 foot swath through the woods.....and I dont think their initial offer is close to what it should be. Please keep in mind that I will not share your message with this forum or anyone else other than my Dad. I just dont want to get screwed over like we did with an Oil/Gas lease. I do have an extensive list of addendums that was construed by an attorney for a friend of mine in Coshocton County, however, it was only for one 12 inch line, and he was paid $30 per foot. Thank you for responding to me and trusting me.
I think what you guys asked for is more than reasonable. I like how Markwest says they will not do the line in your area do to your price. There not going to just stop the pipeline do to your $40 a foot request. They are playing hardball...keep in mind never say no to the idea of the line...just say that they arent offering enough money. Eminent domain is only valid when we refuse to work with the pipeline companies. I personally think they need to disclose exactly how many lines and how big of a diameter the line is going to be prior to executing an agreement.
