I've got 135 acres in Clarion County leased to Stone Energy. My cousin has the other 135, so our family owns 270 acres in Shippenville PA crossing Paint Township and Clarion. We have oil and gas under our land as we have been selling the gas yearly (small amounts since our wells are small) and we extract the gas to heat the farm house. We leased the land 2.5 years ago on a 5 year lease term, but hadn't heard anything about drilling. Another company wants a piece of my land for a pipeline and transfer station and that contract is coming due in December, but even with this company there doesn't seem to be any action. Does anyone know anything about Clarion County or Paint Township?
