Received AEU Minerals Offer Letter to purchase our O/G interests

Did anyone else receive a letter from AEU Minerals, offering to buy your mineral rights? We received our letter from AEUM, today. Our lease is with AEU, also. They bought it from Shell, our original lessee, a year after we signed with Shell. In one year and seven months our lease with AEU will expire. There has been no drilling as of yet. Our lease is for $5,000 an acre and 20% royalty.

Is American Energy Utica  trying to buy our mineral rights  now so they won't have to shell out another bonus check in Oct. of '16? Or are they finally getting ready to drill?

We are considering selling our mineral rights and have been sent a letter from Dorado Mineral & Royalty, LLC., Ft. Worth, TX., also. Does any one know of other companies we could contact to see if they are interested in our minerals, so to get the best offer? Our minerals are in Londonderry Twp., Guernsey county. We do not own the land, just the mineral rights.

Really could use advice as to how we should consider a price per acre if we consider AEU or any other company. AEUM stated in their offer letter they would beat any offer higher than their offer. There were no money amounts  offered in this  letter today.  What is the going selling rate for G/O interests/rights? New to this situation and would like all the advice/help we can get.

me too.  a holes still never paid me from 2013

Are you referring to AEU not paying you after you sold your mineral rights to them? For sure they are a--holes! Sorry, man!  Do you have an attorney helping you with this? If that's what you mean, I will certainly take that into GREAT consideration!!

i signed lease dec 2013 never heard from. got 1099 but never received any money. called them 3-1-14 said they get check right out. but nothing.

I know people who were offered $20,000. per acre, but they were already in a permitted,but undrilled unit. That's mineral rights, ALL of the minerals. From surface to China. That was also before the oil prices fell!. You should get at least 1/2 that now! Would'nt settle for anything less.

Now, that would be the kind of $$ I would consider. Maybe waiting till G/O prices go up would be the thing to do? Do you think they would buy when the prices rise or are they only interested now, while they are low? We are in a unit but don't think it has been permitted, yet.

there is a local real estate professional marketing minerals, they list them just like a residence,  once under contract the marketing begins, I believe they charge 6% once the sale is completed.

We also received the letter......but still waiting to be paid for pooling......I would definitely check around before doing that.....

So what are they offering?? That is the question of most importance. I actually spoke to the guy Rhett Johnson. I wonder if they sent the letter out to everyone or just the people singed with AEP??

So what did Rhett Johnson say they were paying....

Have not contacted them and they did not give me a quote in the letter. Yes, would be interesting to know if the letters went out to just the people who have leases with AEP. Same day received letter from Dorado, Ft. Worth, TX offering to buy my rights.
