Hey Guys,

I promise to post pictures this week...so watch for them.

Yes, I agree Terry!  That is one thing we need to do differently...more elbow room!

...but you have to admit there was no way you could avoid talking to your neighbors - it was definitely what you could call "togetherness" at its best!

There is not a better group of folks to be found anywhere...for a bunch of "strangers" it surely did feel like a family...It was an amazingly congenial, compatible, and fun group!

Thanks guys...for all of your support...

It was really George and Jim that encouraged me to try it, by promising at least they would show up!  In the end we had 36 folks.

I did book Saturday,Oct 27 at The Allegheny Grille, but if folks want to do one in Youngstown, I'll be glad to help out...maybe cancel Foxburg til spring?

Just let me know what you need.

Okay...sorry I dropped out of sight...trying to catch my breath!!  :)

Just alot of catching up to do after 2 very busy weekends...still in that process...and  would love to have an easier work week ahead, so trying to prioritize!!

Hoping sometime this weekend to catch a few minutes to reply to posts, send pics, and info to Mark.

Talk soon!

Not only was it a terrific event, thanks to JMS, but Foxburg and the Allegheny Grille were both great choices. The AG is a picturesque restaurant literally "on" the Allegheny River. Food and beverages were top shelf. Windows span the wall overlooking the beautiful river.

Foxburg is a charming little place that includes an historic golf course with mountain-goat-like terrain. A great destination for either a day trip or an overnight stay.

Bluflame:

The winery across the road is also top notch.  Unlimited free wine tasting, and a lot of wine related merchandise to look over and purchase.

You can purchase a bottle (or more) of cold wine (or warm) and site outside and enjoy.

Can purchase cheeses and crackers.  There is also a band that plays at the winery.

Nice atmosphere.

We usually purchase our cold wine, and bring our own cheese and meats and glasses.

Next time around, folks will know what to expect, and hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative.

Thanks George for your kind words.

Our loss that my wife and I could not make it, we are at the age where our parents require more attention and getting away is more difficult.  We are very supportive of fellow landowners getting together and are proud of yins for putting together a true event, keep it up and God willing we can make it one day.

Ron;

Pick a spot in Y'town area and we'll have one there!  Lots of people in Ohio might be interested in one closer.

Jim,

Mental telepathy, I was thinking this summer, GMS can put on an event at Yellow Creek Theatre (yellowcreek theatre.com) where we show outdoor movies on the bridge wall.  Seriously, we can show a fracking documentary and drink alot of FRACK juice.  YCT can accomodate a thousand people easily, let me see if I can throw some pictures on here.

Great idea Ron...let me know if I can help!

What do you mean, you are in charge, I'll help if you like this venue?

That looks like a fun place.....and I'm sure that Y'town home-grown shrimp will be on the menu!
