I have received 2 letters within last 2-3 wks from 2 different companies although both from Oklahoma.... one was for 3k then yesterday one for 4200.00 per acre.... has anyone received them for anymore than that....

This was in the Salem news on Oct. 27, 2012 for property transfers. Mary Kaster to EDR LLC, mineral rights to 7 acres on Homeworth Road; $81,709.  Thats $11672.71 per acre.  

The filing was returned to  

JEREMY HANKINS 255 STRATHAVEN LN   PELHAM AL 35124

My neighbor in the same area stated he was offered 12,000 per acre but, I chalked it up to BS, I guess not.  The closest well is the Sanor well about 4 miles as the crow flies.

It appears you are correct. The county clerks office does not show any lease for this property. They do have this sale listed.
Either way that's a pretty penny. Looks like prices are on the rise for mineral purchases.
I can't find any good info on this co. I see an economic investment group but it looks like they are a strip mall investor. Maybe they are branching out. I know of someone who would have jumped at this price to sell unleased.
I believe the company is energy deep resources. I have seen signs on the interstate out in tusc county.
