Here is comment by the Ohio Oil and Gas Association on this bill; they seem to like it.

How will it affect royalty owners?

How did your discussions go BPW ? ?
I haven't called anyone.
I think a written petition would serve us better myself.
Would like to see GMS sponsor it.

My discussion I believe went well. I stated that from this bills initial point seems to forget where the land owners rights, eminent domain forced without that declaration through a bureaucracy without a due process. To which the aid said he would discuss my concerns with the legislator and I pointed to the aid this discussion in GOMS.

Excellent BPW.
Keep us posted.
Still aiming for a GMS sponsored petition.
Think we need to send it to the legislators and AG DeWine.
Would like to read more like-minded responses from GMS Members.
A lot more !
Good to know Evert.
Thinking we landowners need to pump up the volume on this.

Can we get a media reporter in on this to throw a few facts out to the public about this is not just about the  the big bad O&G companies but your own Ohioans rights being effected?

Great idea.
How about Bob Downing at the Akron Beacon Journal and Cleveland.com ? ?
Anyone have a solid line of communication with him ? ?
Maybe a start would be to send him a link to this conversation ? ?
I sent Mr. Downing a link to this discussion.
Told him of our concerns.
Asked him for his journalistic assistance in support of landowner rights of ownership.
The more folks who write to him and post here the better the way I see it.
Good luck to all Ohio landowners.
Mr. Downing's e-mail address is:

bdowning@thebeaconjournal.com

Write to him and request his expert journalistic assistance.

I think we need it and all the help we can get.

Good to know Joseph.  I will spread the word in my dealings with others.

Thought we'd see a greater response from more landowners.
Perhaps the majority of folks are signed up and stuck.
If that's the circumstance those folks should't throw in the towel but rather should be seeking modifications to get themselves un-stuck.
Of course all only in my humble opinion.

I sent Mr. Foley a not so nice email regarding his comments in the Columbus Dispatch. If anyone's interested in doing the same.... here is the link to his contact info.

Where is NARO on this topic.  Aren't they a Royalty owners advocacy group with several local/state chapters?  Why aren't they leading the charge against this bill?

Remember how well they led the charge against the PA law that Corbin signed this past summer that as I heard limits landowners renegotiation possibilities declaring unless the old lease does not expressivley limit horizontal grilling and unitization then it's implied permission is given??????

I think if they want to be viewed as an organization with any clout then they need to lead the charge on this and not drop the ball on this, too.

This is why the Tea party is important.  it does not put up with Fraudulent republicans who want to increase taxes.
