Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Apparently Tioga County producers were satisfied they had sufficient capacity. Otherwise they would have contracted for more. Proposed pipelines fail when they can't line up sufficient anchor shippers.

It would probably not be difficult to fill the existing pipes.  But finding cutomers for the excess natural gas dumped on the market definitely would be a problem.

Oops, that was the NED pipeline that would have connected to the Tennessee Gas pipeline. Kinder-Morgan cancelled it because of lack of committments. The Constitution pipeline was fully subscribed by Cabot and SWN.

First, it's not "your (my) argument". But when producers are unwilling to commit financial support to building and operate a pipeline, it's reasonable to question whether they *need* it.

A third - very important - reason to decrease the production rate is to support the price. Would you really want SWEPI to flood the market with enough gas to depress the price?

LNG import (but not from Russia) is being considered to deal with periodic New England shortages.

I've wondered about Repsol's plans for their Talisman purchase ... the PA Northern Tier gas in particular. The plan to add export capability to their existing Canaport LNG import facility - and reverse transmission pipelines - has been delayed.

Company failed to find outside investors in multibillion-dollar project
CBC News - Mar 16, 2016

"A multibillion-dollar conversion of the Canaport LNG facility into an export terminal that politicians have been promoting as a lifeline for New Brunswick's struggling economy has been mothballed.

Repsol Canada spokesman Brent Anderson told CBC News after a long review that included preliminary permitting applications with the National Energy Board, the company has been unable to find outside investors and has concluded the conversion is not currently economical. ..."

But then I ran across this, which might be another piece in the puzzle.

--> "France-Spain natural gas link starts open season process"
Platts - 29 Mar 2018

"The natural gas network operators of Spain and southwest France, Enagas and TIGF, have launched an open season consultation to gauge likely interest for gas transmission capacity on the proposed new link between the two countries, TIGF said Thursday. ...

The project proposers see the link as important for diversifying gas supply sources into Europe in the future, particularly given Spain's robust import capacity from north African gas producer Algeria and the Iberian peninsula's network of LNG reception points.

Spain could thus become an important hub for imported LNG from the US and other Atlantic Basin suppliers. ..."

You're denying the obvious.

Hey, wait a minute. I happen to enjoy nuts and berries; tree bark, not so much. lol

But I agree-natural gas is the fuel of the immediate present and well into the future....much to the greenies chagrin.

You claim climate change is a myth ... what about evolution?

It was tongue-in-cheek.

So?

So what is the question.......?
