Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Ok, I just spent an hour looking for the new thread, because I got a message that it had been started.

Finally came back here and waded through 20 pages of posts of which I'd already read 90%.

I find this one very unwieldy, but I guess I'm vastly in the minority.

I'll just stumble along as I have been.

And if I miss important info, I miss it.

Like  Chester Riley from the old radio program, (Duffy's Tavern), used to say, "What a revolting development this turns out to be!"

I visit this site several times a day usually to see if anything new comes in.  I saw Deb's posting and though it might be helpful to start another threat concerning our own particular area. I also thought that it might be good to keep available the postings made here on this thread in case one of us wanted to go back to review what was already posted. And maybe to add to it new information that came to light to some old posting.

I have to leave now but I will continue this posting when I get back in an hour or two.

Ok I'm back.

Some of the information, I don't want to lose. I suppose I could print it out.

I was wondering if Deb had some specific question she needs to have answered?  I do have one myself and that is, "Can anyone tell me just how wide is the Painter unit? Also does the Painter unit extend beyond route 49?"

Oh my! I just discovered that I made a bad misspelling error in my first posting. In the second line and second  paragraph, I typed, "I saw Deb's  posting and thought it might be helpful to start another  (THREAT) concerning our own particular area."    WHOA GRANDDAD! Your spelling errors will get you into trouble.  (THREAD was the intend word, not threat!)

My apologies to all who read my boo boo!

I had a terrible time getting a membership here  when I first started accessing this site.  I kept losing passwords.  I could read postings but I could not reply or ask questions.   And once or twice my computer crashed.  However now access to this site seems to have settled down. Might have just been GROWING PAINS!

To Deb I will say, Do not get discouraged. There is lots of information here on this site. And don't be afraid to ask  or just post.

Hey Old Timer. Lu scooted to the mailbox and found the sheet of paper.   Thank you greatly.  Took a bit of eye strain and a powerful magnifying glass to see  it.

But Putting it together with what I already know, I guess I have a pretty good handle on the answers to my questions.

Now I guess it is more a question of time.  Again I thank you.

How do you know (all) Delmar source gas goes into the TGP?  SWEPI has several 20" W->E gathering lines in the NE quadrant of TC.  They feed into NFG's Tioga County Extension of the Empire Pipeline in Jackson Twp.

As an anchor shipper, SWEPI is required to ship a certain amount of product via Empire or pay a penalty.

Assuming there is more than one possibility, only those issuing the orders and those doing the actual routing know which route was used at a particular time.

Give this a try ... in particular the link to the Penn State Extension Webinar.
There is also a check-stub tutorial (click the Division Order Tutorial photo to access the other tutorials.)

I would say Swepi in the above example would be obligated to supply the gas at the hedged price of  3.25 and would incur the .75 loss for the amount of gas that was hedged.

its like buying puts n call options, u r rolling the dice and hope for the best but u need to be aware of all the different things that could happen.

I personally do not think Swepi would hedge all of their gas production unless we saw a return to 12 to 14 dollar gas again.

The majority of leases out there today base the royalties upon at the wellhead price........

READ your lease and see what what your royalties are based upon and also look for deductions clauses

This flaring of excess Permian gas has another downside in my estimation.  Depending on just how much flaring is done, wont all this flaring contribute to weather and atmospheric changes by depleting the normal oxygen to some small degree?  Glaciers and snow packs have or  are melting away.  Human beings are not the only specie that are affected by these changes.  Do we really want to destroy  species that are already in danger of disappearing?

In my area, it is rare to see butterflies anymore. Used to be all kinds of moths and June bugs at night banging on the windows. Very few lightning bugs flitting around the yard and fields anymore.  Where are the birds? no more Redwing black birds or barn swallows. And what about the honey bees?

I am not saying that burning away excess gas is entirely to blame for these things......Only that we need to be very careful about what we are doing in order to fatten bank accounts!
