I just tried to reply once more to the discussion that I had started about Huffington Posts request for comments on signing leases, only to find that it has now been deleted.  What gives?  I don't think I said anything that was inappropriate.  Below are the remarks that I had intended to post to the last response for this thread.

Wow.  This was the first post I ever made and probably my last.  I had no idea this would become so controversial, but from recent posts, which seem to becoming more and more adversarial, I should have been more prepared.

My comments to the original post have been completely misinterpreted, and personally, I don't see why it would be a problem for happy lease holders to submit their story of why they made their decision and how they have benefited.  The request is for both those who have decided to sign AND not to sign, you do realize.  If you signed, why not share your story?  Post your submission here also; if Huffington Post does not post your submission, call them out on it.

And I am totally baffled about this discussion of whether to see Promised Land or not.  I am sure everyone here is looking forward to Fracknation in the hopes that the opposition will see it and come to their senses.  My point was, everyone should be going to see all of these movies, and reading all of the articles and getting to the actual facts.  How can you be an expert about something if you don't understand all sides of the discussion?  How can you have an intelligent, persuasive discussion with someone about the movie if you haven't even seen it?

The remarks here are inflammatory and unproductive and not anything that I wanted to be a part of.

I don't know, ask Congress.  Zing!

Seriously though, I didn't think your post was in any way inappropriate and I'm sorry that your experience here has been tainted.  This is a great forum and I hope you stick around.

Thanks Marcus.  Of course, no one can see the thread that I was referring to, since it has been deleted, so now this discussion won't make much sense to anyone.

I am just really disappointed that the moderated decided to delete it without any warning.

Congress....don't get me start...:)

Jenny, we have found that 75% of people don't respond to correspondence. And that when they do, it takes them 24 or more hours

Jenny I believe I had posted a reply to the thread you started. I might have made a mistake as I made a reply about the Huffington Post mentioned Promised Land in the same breath. The question or comment I sent to the Huffington Post was perhaps the question should be, why would the United Arab Emirates finance a fictional movie ?

But here is another view as a landowner. With the success some land owners have had with leasing and royalties I could see where for security reasons they may want to guard their privacy. Another point is anti frackers have initiated websites that are suggesting sabotage (monkey wrenching) and other behavior that land owners may want no part of.

Hi Billy, yes, yours was the last reply to my thread and I was about to post the comments above but could tell that the page would not load once I hit "add reply."  Luckily I was able to copy them before I got the message that they page could no longer be found.

You may be right about privacy issues and sabotage, but I cannot understand what I said that Could have been construed as such  There have been other threads recently, where some very upset individuals were posting their grievances concerning seismic testing etc and even some very obvious anti-fracking comments.  None of that was going on with my thread.

Not going to lose any sleep over it.  Just had to vent.  Thanks.

Jenny,

If you started that post, then it had to be you who deleted that post. Why did you delete it?

I, too, started a post the other day that was deleted.

I posted a link about Chesapeake tightening its belt and clamping down on Aubrey.

That discussion is gone now, too.

In my humble opinion, i think promise land is a anti american film that should be thrown in the garbage.

Jenny,

Your above paragraph is well composed with good points and has a wonderful inviting feel-good theme to it.

Making it completely transparent.

Do us all a favor and stay out of Western PA.

Thanks.

hahahahaha
