FYI, I know of Landowner Groups that have been formed in Belmont, Harrison, Carroll, Jefferson counties and they are in a much better position to lease their mineral interests now than by themselves. You can find them here on this site easily and you need to get a better understanding of what everything entails. It isn't just about the $$, although that is a part of it, it is about getting a "good lease" with the right addendum's in it, before you sign. No one cares more about you, your family and your future than you do, if you don't take care of your business, who else will.

Has anyone leased living in Lawerence township? Seems like sierra is hitting this area hard.
  • James Edward Wojciechowski

I got an offer in Mill Township from Avalanche $250 per acre and 10.5% royalties with limited free gas.  Where are all the good offers?  Has anyone else near Uhrichsville had ant good offers?
  • Chris Irwin

My property is in Lawrence township and have received offers from Avalanche $250/12.5%, Sierra started at $1500/18%, last offer $2000/18% and had contact with four of their landmen.  Chesapeake was $2690/royalty 1\8.
  • Paul Martinelli

I heard that Sierra is suppose to be drilling a well close the Sugarceek Golf course.....anyone confirm this?
  • shawn miller

I do know that sierra took a core sample near the golf course and later leased large block of land in that general area. Havent heard of any plans for a horizonal well. have heard that cnx has plans for a 3700 ft horizonal in auburn township outside of ragersville.

  • Chris Irwin

They haven't applied for a permit yet.
  • shawn miller

all i know is they are suppost to start drilling this year. talked directly to landowner.  there are plans to make township road 4 feet wider to well site. heard this from township trustee.

  • Tim Yoder

cnx has a vertical permit for Auburn twp. I believe dated 8/16
  • shawn miller

cnx also has permit for plug back and horizonal listed for same property dated 8/16 in auburn twp.  chesapeake applyed for permit wayne township north of dundee 8/16

Is the rig there yet on cumberland Rd?
  • Shower Bath

The first article is the Chesapeake CEO defending the industry - not much new there. The second article down regarding the Hess lease acquisitions provides a dollar value that they paid for Utica leased acreage.

Has anyone else seen the Consol signs on 39 towards Sugarcreek for the "Tusc 3" well?

  • shawn miller

You can follow those signs to well site located about 2 miles outside ragersville on hilltop road. I can hear them working on well pad from my house. they are suppost to start drilling middle of the month. also you cannot see pad from the road.
  • Paul Martinelli

Who is Consol drilling this well for...anyone know?

  • shawn miller

It is their own well/permit is listed as cnx their land company. landowner is troyer.

  • Paul Martinelli

......seems the new permits have come to a halt...any speculation as to why?

Has anyone dealt with Chesapeake, that has an older lease, in regards to changing the pooling size of their old lease.  Has anyone had any success in getting betters terms on the lease, such as royalities or etc.?

  • tena marie west

We dealt with them back in january for the nettle well in clay township. We couldnt get any higher than 12.5 percent that was in our old agreement from 1964. We signed papers and our water was tested and heard nothing since.

  • tena marie west

Hi, just wanted people to know that my sister signed with chesapeake last night.  Shes in tuscarawas county , Uhrichsville Ohio. She said the lady told her that chesapeake wanted Tuscarawas county wrapt up within a week. She only has 1.8 acres. She got 2750 and 17 percent

Has anyone heard about the well on St. Rt. 800 just out of Dennison. It is to be a Super Pad 6 holes on one pad. Heard there is to be natural gas, wet gas and oil.

  • JR

    Brian, who's the driller?
  • maria armes

I kow there have also been Chesp. trucks going down an access road on Wolford and have talked to property owner about a pad there as well.  Very close to 800.  Wolford is smack in the middle of the plot.  Also heard they are scoping property on Moravian Trail near 800. Time frame?  The rumors are flying but it makes sense as they are putting in lines and a refinery.
