Dear Keith,
I find that I have a devil of a time trying to track down previous entries/thoughts/replies. For example I was looking for entries dealing with lease addendums, and came up empty. Since I personally had added that conversation to the whole, I know it's there somewhere, and can't find it. Is this something that needs addressing in the search protocols, or is the fact that I'm just computer illiterate the issue?
Dan
Keith, Thanks for the welcome. I from Lackawanna Cnty, PA. I believe I joined the group. If not, I wll, but there doesn't seem to be much activity in it. The last post was in Feb. What's a gift?
Thank you. hubby and I live in chatham township. 2 of our neighbors have signed for a pipe line to go thru their property. nothing happening yet. have a well (6 wells and e&S stormwater unit) started 1-2 miles from us. have been taking pics almost every day. thanks for such a wonderful site. sincerely, nancy
Thanks Keith,
Like many PA land owners I've been talking/learning and thus far am unsigned. I have 230 acres mostly in Independance and Dongeal (not too far from Claysville). Range seems to be the most active in the area with CHP, Atlas, Great Lakes all showing some interest. My farm has PA gamelands on about 2/3 and it is my understanding that PA will auction off the rights but that they do not want a large footprint on their land. Time will tell how all this goes. Take care-Joe
Thank you, and I very much look forward to contributing as well as hopefully meeting some of the group members out in Pittsburgh next week! I was enthused to see that a number in the group were of the "young professionals" age bracket as all I am surrounded by in my position are marketedly older and subsequently resistant to listening to my rhetoric about the Marcellus and aggressively pursuing it as a growth opportunity....subsequently I've been exploring the level of interest in a young professionals industrial group. This is a great medium to bring all involved from both the oil & gas professionals and landowners side together for open dialogue to keep the lines of communication open and counter the frequent negative hype.
Looking for some opinions (if you have any) on some companies. Rexx Energy, Exco, and Talisman. I know Exco is fairly active in my area of Central PA but wanted to see what you knew of, if anything, regarding them
How do you network without telling people what you do? I am not advertising a specific property, but rather a generic presentation of what I do for a living. I could understand your comment if I were to say that I was marketing a property at a specific address with XX acres and XXX square feet of building space at a specific price. Also their is a critical shortage of rail sites close-in to the heaviest areas of concentration in the Marcellus Shale Play. I don't believe that I have violated the agreement. Perhaps you and I should discuss this over the phone. I can be reached at 570-772-5976.
Hi Keith, i have been out of the loop lately i was wondering if you had a new information on anything going on in the Worcester area? I check the website every now and then and i havent seen anything. Have a wonderful day and thank you.
Hi Keith and thanks for that nice welcome. I was actually hoping for networking opportunities with anyone wanting to lease office space in the Johnstown area. I'm not sure if there is anywhere on the site that I can place an ad, but wanted to reach out to people about our building in downtown Johnstown, called Franklin Center. Can you give me some advice as to how to do that?
Thank You for the Welcome. I am finding this site very interesting. I work for a company that is doing some of the drilling. The information on this site is for the well instead of against.
I think that with careful planning we can have the wells and protect the environment.
Thank you for the welcome. Great site. Still learnining how to navigate but appreciate the information and discussions taking place here.
Best wishes,
Diane
keith: this site is great for the latest info on Marcellus shale. I appreciate all your work on keeping us all informed. My question is how do we get another group together here in Wyoming county, like the WCG that signed up in Sept 09 with CHK?
There's plenty of us left with acreage, and no where to take it to like WCG did. Is anyone actively pulling another group together?
Thanks for welcoming me. As I said in my profile, I am here to learn. I am curently doing research for a client on transmission pipeline expansion projects in the Marcellus region. The aim is to determine what pipeline capacity is available and where it is with respect to drilling activity. I welcome any info that you may send my way that can help me.
Keith- The bundle of property rights is dived in several ways, one of which is surface, sub-surface and mineral. Many people are isolating their mineral value and placing them in an LLC or FLP for financial planning, liability protection and future management planning. I can e you much information if you wish. Thanks for the response. Bob Congdon
Hey Keith! Hope things are going well for you. Thanks for the referral of the 60 minutes folks btw! But of interest, have you been following the other evolving shale plays? Collingwood?
Hi Keith,
Are you aware of any upcoming educational seminars on anything to do with/or all facets of the Marcellus Shale (drilling, leasing, etc.)
Thank you!!
Susan
Keith, the Collingwood is a play making progress in Michigan. There are other emerging shale plays around the country and even internationally. You got one big job trying to keep up with all these!
Hi Keith, great site! Our least was signed 2/07 for five years. We were the original group in Wyoming Co., before the Wy Co. Landowners group was formed. The well in Vernon was part of the 6000 acre deal. I talked to Atty. Doug Clark and he felt that we would get an offer from Ckp. with a year prior to the lease's expiration. There are so many rumors out there, ie that Ckp. doesn't want or need more land, so who knows if they will approach to resign.
I just posted my offer from Mason Dixon Energy, but it disappeared. Do you look posts over before permanently listing them? Thanks max.zarges@gmail.com
In an email I received just a few minutes ago, there was a link for posts regarding recent offers. I just left a post on the Cortland County site, stating my post in June re my offer from Mason Dixon, did not show up. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Thanks
Keith, new to your site but looks like great info. Not sure exactly what I want. I have 30 acres in Benton Township, Lackawanna County and it appears I'm surrounded by all my neighbors who have signed. It seems I'm forced to do something, but what I don't know yet.
Please feel free to act as Administrator for the Fayette County (PA) group. Outside interests keep me from spending as much time as I should at this site!
Thanks,
JM
• What is DNCR? •• Why is no one posting new leasing info on this site? I heard rumor of a signing in Muncy Valley for $7,800/acre at 25%. Know of anyone else hearing 7,200 or the 7,800? ••• Perhaps there has been an "addendum" written in for a Gag-Clause…?
Keith, we are over in Sullivan County, near Muncy Valley/Sonestown. 80 acres or so in our subdivision. Was wondering who the attorney was that drafted the excellent lease agreement on behalf of the Wyoming group?
Thanks Keith. I am the guys who move3s all this gas when it comes to the pipelines. I head up the Northeast trading team for LDH Energy, I purchase large quantities of gas from most of the producers in the area, as well as managing market-zone storage. Glad to be a member!
You asked what kind of law I practice. I am a general practitioner concentrating on trial work in the civil and criminal courts. I have done some lease and contract work. I also do employment-related work and a good deal of litigation in federal court.
Keith,
Thank you for both the welcome and all the links.
I'll be slowly reading here along with some other sites to gather as much info as possible on the subject..
I'd like nothing more than a safe, responsible drilling process to be proven so that I and other landowners can profit from our land and have the US become self sufficient instead of dependent on foreign energy.
Thanks Keith. I have been reading comments about everything on the website. It is very interesting. I joined the Potter Couinty group. I will be up therer in 2 weeks and can not wait to see what is going on for myself.
Thanks, Keith, great site you've put together. If you would like information about our project, S4PA (Science, Safety, Security & Surveillance for Pennsylvania) and our Marcellus mission, please drop me a line or give me a call. We value and welcome input from all directions.
Gil
Thank you Keith, still new at this site, and learning how to use it.Also looking for water testing sites near Scranton.Well sites will be coming soon to the Nicholson area. Thanks again, Mike
