Unfortunately..........I haven't heard anything about that county. I have people that would love to lease their minerals.......but I can't find anyone interested in drilling down there yet. BUT, that doesn't mean the play won't go down that far south. Maybe a little later. I think there are a bunch of coal mines down there. Is that true?
I will follow your efforts in organizing your land group to attempt to get a better deal from Shell as to the HBP issue. Actually, I am trying to ween myself off from a daily concern on the Marcellus business because life is just too short to spend so much time on something that seems to have lost the urgency of two or three years ago. Yes, i would like to make fabulous money on royalties and retire, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. If you have looked at my previous posts over the years, you will see that I urged resistance to East's underhanded dealings and tried to get people to avoid complacency with what was offered. My efforts were largely to no avail. I now find people crying about conditions they might have avoided had they shown a little more cooperation amongst themselves and a little more backbone. I write this note to you and not to the general readers here because I do not want to be the bitter person crying out "I told you so." In short, I feel that the major battle was lost or actually conceeded a couple of years ago.
If on the other hand, you and your group shows some gain in legal negotiations with Shell and the Pa. government, i would be glad to help in any way that I can. For right now, I plan to watch from the sidelines mostly and get on with life here where i live in Wyoming. Please do keep me informed. Brian Day
