Introduce Yourself
I own all mineral rights on more then 100 acres in Greene County and Washington County, PA and have been approached by EQT 3 times in the last 2 years...and most recently 2 weeks ago. Have an existing well dating from a lease from the 1920's and they want me to sign a modified lease. They say they are not willing to negotiate but why are they after my land and if the old lease applies why do they need me to sign a modified lease? Also have not rcvd any royalty payments for 4 months on old 1920's well...what is going on? What is EQT after? I do have an attorney but leery of all sharks and large corps.

An honest lawyer would not accept a dime unless he landed you a quality contract  the gas company giving all your down money up front. These days a lease that has to be developed (production has begun) no longer than 4 years from signing. You pay nothing until you get all up fron money.....never give anyone any % of your royalty. And don't let any attourney waste a year looking for a company that can actually do the deal. Most all the others are only posturing and not true winning performers.

Hi LC , thanks for the friend request . Let me know what i can do to help you . It seems that you are getting a taste of how complex it can be . I own several wells of my own and have been operating them for about 10 years now . If I understand it right you leased some of your land directly with the o-g company , if so how did it work out for you .
