Thanks for the good report ...I did hear that about the oil underneath ...that at this point of time it would be difficult to bring it to surface and this was in Tuscarawas and a few of the northern county , This could be the reason for temporary leasing and drilling ...Don't worry these companies know exactly what they are doing and will find a way to bring the oil up . To much money at stake ...this area will never be the same .... people will be force to move as this exploring continue in the years ahead .

also marathon is gearing up there refinery in canton and one in kentucky to handle more oil per day and working on a pipeline up thru harrison and carroll counties to move crude to canton it will probably come up along the west side of carrol county to east sparta where they have pipelines and right of way already to canton from a storage plant there ......150 million dollar project  enervest already has a well just east of magnolia that produced over 20,000 barrels of oil in its first 120 days in production ....cairns-5H..........chesepeak got a well just in production just north of atwood lake ott 10H .....no production report on it yet its about a mile east of tusc. county also chesepeak has a pad built about a mile do north of the ott    silvis already to be drilled even got the fence built around it     theres a gribi well and a edwards well just inside tusc county along carroll county line ....not sure of production numbers on those but they are in production

Marathon Petroleum Corp. plans to spend an estimated $140 million on a new pipeline that will connect its refinery in Canton to an oil and natural gas processing facility in the Utica shale play.

The 48-mile Cornerstone Pipeline, expected to be completed in 2016, will connect the refinery with a processing plant in Cadiz operated by MarkWest Energy Partners LP (NYSE:MWE).

The line will be capable of moving crude oil, condensate and natural gas to the Canton refinery, Marathon Petroleum spokesmanSid Barth told me in an e-mail. Condensate is an ultra-light crude oil used in the refining of gasoline and other petroleum products.

Barth said Findlay-based Marathon (NYSE:MPC) now is using trucks to transport oil and condensate to the Canton refinery. That facility, as well as a Marathon refinery in Catlettsburg, Ky., will install condensate splitters – units that break condensate into components used to make different products – to process the increased production expected from the shale play in eastern Ohio.

I was told this pipeline would only be for oil and condensates.

yes this is the business marathon is in oil and condensates ....but they also use ng in there refinery to process the crude

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (KMP Analyst Report) announced that its subsidiary, Kinder Morgan Cochin LLC has signed a letter of intent with NOVA Chemicals Corporation to develop a new products pipeline from the Utica Shale. The proposed $300 million pipeline christened Kinder Morgan Utica To Ontario Pipeline Access (UTOPIA) would transport refined or fractionated natural gas liquids (NGLs), including ethane and propane.

Per the agreement, Kinder Morgan Cochin will develop, construct, own and operate the 210-mile, 10-inch diameter pipeline from multiple fractionation facilities in Harrison County, Ohio, to Kinder Morgan’s Cochin Pipeline near Riga, Michigan. The pipeline would enable the company to move product via Cochin east to Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

The pipeline is expected to have an initial capacity of 50,000 barrels per day (bpd), which is expandable to more than 75,000 bpd. The company expects the pipeline to be operational by mid 2017.
