Many factors to consider in that question. If your not under a lease that becomes a big factor! How long of a road will it be? How will it effect your property as it will possibly take how much land out of tillable crop land or what will be the value of the timber destroyed in the making of the roadway?  How will it effect your property's value ? Will it cut it up, destroy a view of the landscape,  what will it do to your road frontage, what will it do to your peace and quite? 

 Bottom line no to property's are the same, it is a sellers market where you are in the drivers seat to a very large degree.
