Some people got screwed in the Shippenville area near Clarion County due to lack of education and lack of knowledge about the true worth of mineral rights in their back yards. Fortunately, I held out for about 2 years before signing ANY lease. It's been 2 and a half years now, yet there seems to be NO activity whatsoever in the pool (640 acres) of lands around our property. Does anyone know of anything about when we might see activity? I was also approached by a pipeline company to lay a pipeline through our property and possibly a transfer station along with it. It's been almost two years, but a decision hasn't been told to me whether they will go forward with this or not. They only have 3 months left to decide. Has any one heard any news at all?
