This article must be qualified.

I just read that Pa and WV do have forced pooling but exempt the Marcellus Formation.

I was considering the issue with concern for Kentucky.  Apparently Kentucky has forced pooling only of coal bed methane.

Table at bottom of article giving forced pooling laws for all 50 states:

Paul,

This must be part of the "Education" process from those who want forced pooling. Next they'll take another vote and magically it will pass.

Now I see how important it is to make sure the O&G companies get what they want.

Next the O&G companies will ask for Stealth Units that are drilled then disappear.

Hey, we already have one of those in Ohio, Paige Well 5H in Summittville. It was most definately drilled per the submitted Permit. Now where could that well have gone?

It doesn't matter if it doesn't pay a royalty, the ODNR uses the Honor System to collect quarterly volumes of Oil and Gas. Honor & Chesapeake, two words that will never sound right when put together.

.

Wow, the best part of my post was lost. Must be the Sun activity.
